2025 Hahn Australia Cup

Yeah they need better coaching and to keep playing higher quality opponents. They seem good enough physically. Cutting them off would be a step backwards.

Yes I agree. If I was Football Australia I would seriously lobby the Australian Government for some coin and chuck it at Darwin Olympic and a few other soccer clubs in the NT to improve their entire sporting operations.

Not just because it's football and we like football but because of Darwin's remoteness compared to other cities in Australia and it could have quite the human interest story, maybe on a global scale.

The NT is a huge contributor to the Australian economy in comparison to it's population. Why not try and help it get some national recognition in terms of sport with some reasonable investment?

The AFL would probably use its political influence to block it mind. 🙄

Something like the ASEAN comp might work for them, either a current club or a representative of all NT team. A decent standard and nearby. But they wouldn't be let in.

Mate that would require logic and forseight from "the mob" that cant get the basics of an NST right and you expect them to do Darwin or anyone else justice???

Better off creating a power club locally and hitching their wagon to Indonesian league!

And yes, it's difficult to disagree with that....
Its completely frustrating......

The incompetence is so engrained now that even simple, logical, good ideas cant be achieved, and the worst part is its not bc of a lack of funds most of the time.. I think we have to be the only national sport whose administrations (without exception) cant even get the basics right - 20+ after being told we solved all the ills of the NSL and its still ground hog day FFS!

Absolute sheer utter incompetence and lack of leadership.
Agreed.
You’d think in the modern age there would finally be something with these incompetent wood ducks would be looking to grow and take the game under the APL to a level it needs to prosper and enhance a new age for the game they are supposed to nurture.
I’m gutted these people past 20yrs to now are that fuckin hopeless holding the game back !!!!
We’re a tin pot organisation for 2025.
