If you did some research you'd find that Russia/USSR has, in the last 100 years, invaded every single one of it's European neighbors except Norway; a country, which not coincidentally, is protected by NATO Article 5. NATO expansion was a case of the Eastern European countries freshly liberated from the oppressive yoke of Russian communism, seeking formalised protection from further Russian brutality. 'NATO EXPANSION!!' is Kremlin propaganda for internal consumption to drive a misguided feeling of fear in the population to support the war. It also helps with giving useful idiots like you talking points to parrot. Putin's essay 'on the historical unity of Russians and Ukrainians' is much more telling, as it's a delusional rant that outlines his ridiculous assertions about Ukraine existing being an insult to Russia, how they're historically all Russians, Ukraine don't need Donbass etc. It's a real mask-off moment that shows the Ukraine War is simply predicated on a sense of ethno-nationalist imperialism
