OFC Professional League

Any Aussie team will face reregister by Football Australia.
We have moved to Asia and expect ramifications for any team that is known to have applied
Football Australia are letting teams apply I can’t speak on other clubs they are fine with South Melbourne going for it as long as we keep playing in Australian comps NSD and npl

Yeah I think they won't be allowed entry into multiple competitions where continental places are on the line. Or if they are allowed entry, they won't be accepted into the following competition (like how Auckland and Wellington can't progress to Asian comps).

E.g. if South enter the OFC league, that's is their pathway to the Intercontinental Cup and the Club World Cup, so they won't be allowed to gain entry via the AFC comps which would be via winning the Australia Cup.

But my question is, how come South, Hawaii, or any other Aussie club are allowed to play in another continental competition and progress to the global comps, whereas Auckland and Wellington are banned from progressing just to Asia? Are they not the same examples? Time to fix that NZ issue with AFC!

That is a stretch
Waiting to for AFC to come down on Football Australia like a ton of brings

Yeah, a lot of playing the same teams multiple times.

8 teams, play each other twice over 14 matches.
The top 4 then play each other one more time. Top 3 form that go to semi finals.
The bottom 4 also play each other one more time.
Then the 4th place from top 4 plays 1st place from bottom 4. The winner of that joins the semi finals.

A team will end up playing other teams four times by the end of it.

and what is the 5 circuit series I’m guessing 5 countries hosting theses games cause it’s probably going to cost to much for teams to travel every week 🤷

Step 1 - Regular Season Standings:

  • Top 4 clubs advance to Leaders Playoff Group.
  • Bottom 4 clubs placed into Challengers Playoff Group.
Step 2 - Playoff Groups:

Leaders Playoff Group (top 4 teams)

  • Single round-robin (3 matches per club).
  • Top 3 teams qualify directly to semi-finals.
  • 4th place must play an additional playoff match.
Challengers Playoff Group (bottom 4 teams)

  • Single round-robin (3 matches per club).
  • Only the top team earns a playoff decider chance against the Leaders’ 4th place.
Step 3 - Playoff Decider:

  • Match between 4th placed Leaders team vs. top Challengers team.
  • Winner secures the final semi-final spot.
Step 4 - Semi-finals & Grand Final:
