Hated, Adored, Never Ignored mate ... I get the same msgs don't worry.. NEVER got ANY messages last year or the year before when we creamed a few teams funnily enough... Every hero wants to kick us when we are down... They aren't watching or "must have missed that" when we beat Bergers in the Dockerty cup Semi, or beating Hume 5 out of 5 mathes last year with that great 2-3 QF... or the 4 we put past Altona last year... they will jump on on Saturday when we lose to Altona this year though....... AND many of them will slink back into Lakeside pretending they never left when we are playing some interstate rivals again.

As for being relegated .... c'mon we are dross sure, but there is still plenty of football to be played, we wont get relegated... we WONT play finals but we wont get relegated...
 
What is the end game for the club here?

If this Oceania League starts in January next year, then I can only assume the club will prepare itself for the NSD and subsequent Oceania League, by recruiting BIG TIME during the Transfer window 8 weeks before the end of the NPL season.

Whether or not that saves us from relegation, appears to be irrelevant, as we will be focusing on those two new competitions.

But, my goodness, that is fraught with danger. How stable are these 2 new competitions?

Your guess is as good as anyone's at the moment both in regards to our recruitment AND the stability of both of these mythical leagues....

Im missing my first match of the season on Saturday and for the first time in a looooong time, Im not even bothered by it.

Yep .... I ain't going ..... and I ate my BEST ever kebab from their canteen a couple of years ago! Hehe

LOL Yeah I feel ya... Im not on any social media for pretty much this reason .... Its bad enough how often I'm on here talking all things football...

I remember Preston had (still has?) that map when I visited their Social Club back in early 1990's.

So Altona has that as well? Gee, and to think that Preston fans look down on them as Serbified 'Macedonians'.

TBH its been a while since ive gone inside the social club, I usually get my cevapi roll from the lovely ladies outside :)

Whispers from behind the scenes even suggest negotiations are underway with a coach, who is currently working for another Greek Australian club in the same league’.

Coaching wise, here's hoping its true but also here's hoping its not John Markovski .... the only solution that may be on par with the shambles we already have in place currently!
 
Realistically you can rule 2 names out. CT will never work under our current board again. JM you can rule out cos its JM.

JA would be massive but why would he leave a team hes worked hard to rebuild to join a rabble right now? We did pull this off with CT back in 2013 but we are a much worse club now
 
Yeah JA has done a brilliant job rebuilding their squad over the past 2 days does he want to throw away all that hard work to join us? It dosen’t really make much sense but by the sounds of it Bergers don’t have much ambition in regards to NST at this stage so does he want to coach at a higher level with us? Who knows but it would be the most ambitious move this current board have made

100% right CT and Markovski immediately get a big line through them ... as for Johnny A, perhaps we finally woke up to sense and found the extra 20K needed? Im not holding my breath though.
