This ref is a joke. Has totally lost control of the game.

Behich's was in the middle of the pitch, and like you said, not a SPA. The other one was.

refs in oz really need to crack down on fouls and give a lot more yellow. There were 500 completed passes in that game, similar to an spfl game. If you have the motivation you can shut out all technical play with a physical press with lots of nudges and fouls that aren't called, especially in a gf
 
Do not care for either team, but the officiating in that game was awful. The amount of crap allowed to go on made it painful to watch. If I want to watch that sort of shit, ill watch the NRL. Allow them to play some proper football.

* Someone call the police as Melbourne Victory should be charged with fraud.
* Imagine if this was Auckland v Melbourne City...
* Arzani showing once again he's the most overrated player in Australian football.
* Melbourne City too good, gave Victory nothing all night. It was all over after the 1st goal.
* Melbourne City relentless all night, squeezed and pressed and ran and battled hard.
* Congrats to @melbcityguy for being the guy who supports Melbourne City.

Mate watch the EPL, the Euros or the WC. The physicality is a step up again.

I love it. The game favours the stronger players that can ride a challenge and hold off players. Can't stand floppers like Arzani falling over after every touch.

I watch european football every week, the refs are much harsher in Europe and I'd say Australia is a bit of an outlier in how permissive it is to be honest. If this was between two euro teams the game would finish with 4-5 sent off through build up of yellows that should've been handed out!

Agh. You blokes. The ref blows the whistle not enough or too much. I'd rather a game like that than the whistle going off every 45 seconds.

As a neutral Victory never looked like scoring. City deserved that but blame the ref if it helps you sleep.

I agree that fans are pushing refs in both directions and thats unfair on refs who cop a lot of stick...I wish there was a push to have us more in line with global standards and be harsher to be honest

For someone that is a supposed "big game player" (as per the commentators) Arzani has won an Australia Cup, a Scottish cup where he played 5 minutes, a Scottish Premiership where he played 23 minutes and a Scottish Premiership where he never got on the field as well as one goal in a friendly for the national team..
