    Sydney fc v Bangkok

    Hard but fair tackle.

    Canberra fc

I don't think Canberra will happen. A Gold Coast team would be hands down a better investment.

Nick Garcia no longer a league commisioner

There's banter and there's flat out unpleasantness. Let's stay the right side of the banter line, fellas.

Looks like a rashie for the kids to wear at the beach in summer

Nick Garcia no longer a league commisioner

Always good to see a provocative sweeping generalisation that may or may not not bear any relation to the actual situation.

    Wyndham City Stadium Thread

The reality still looks better than City at AAMI. My bet is that in the medium term WU will outstrip City by some margin. City and Macarthur are the biggest problems in the comp.

    A-league attendances 24/25

Lot riding on the City Football Schools initiative. Absolutely nothing else there to hang any hope on for MC being more than a poorly supported rump.

    A-league attendances 24/25

Victory are so far down that its hard to believe. Gone are the days when MV attendances used to pull up the whole league average.

    Expansion Thread

Has to be said that its not the job of APL to have any new clubs "ready to go". Its all dependent on the investors being there to stump up the cash, which is NEVER going to happen with Tasmania and is unlikely to happen with Canberra. I don't understand why so many people seem to have the...

In the case of the investors, "shovel ready" refers to their financial status.

Anyways, the derby was a timely reminder of what the comp can deliver at its best.

Personally, I do not believe the stadium will ever be built. My bet is that they will add to what they have.

    Expansion Thread

I'm guessing that there are going to be no expansion teams given the cost. Not in the forseeable future, anyway. The most likely exception is Gold Coast. Stadium, heading for a million people. Bespoke derby with Brisbane. I could see that attracting a bid. None of the others.
