What's with all the walkovers already? Six matches over before a ball has been kicked.
Happens a bit in NSW sometimes. I remember one of the Griffith teams getting 3 rounds in one year purely off walkovers, because the other team decided they didn't want to travel.

Although in saying that, considering one of the games you're mentioning is Delahey <> St Kilda, guessing the team decided they just weren't ready...

Yeah it's bizarre. Why enter (and pay) if you don't want to travel? What do they expect? It's not a league match.

the hardest situation for general local clubs is getting commitment from players before the season starts.
For eg Syd metro doesn't koff till March/April - many clubs haven't even kicked a ball yet.
Sure some have.
Also many clubs haven't even confirmed their player rosters, even my own team right is hussling all to register yet, some won't till the deadline.
Can imagine how difficult it would be regional wise, plus the travel.
Just saying.

Very good points - though I believe NSW Australia/Waratah Cup fixtures kick off around the same time this season?

Side note - I'm getting started on my full list database. I may end up essentially doing a version that tracks Australia Cup entrants over time (but we'll see how that goes)

On the full list, doing a test run on 2024 structure/pyramid, so will look something like this (am adding as the opening sheet to the main database spreadsheet posted in the 'Unofficial Database' thread

There is, the South West Victoria FA. It's still close. Maybe one day they'll join together... a train service out there would be handy if they don't already have one.
Train out west anywhere would be great. Unfortunately we are extremely car dependant and fat.
