A-league attendances 24/25

my condolences..
No condolences required, we all have our reasons & just because my differs from yours doesn't make it wrong.

Just like me offering you condolences for after 20 years not having an A-League team, I'm sure you feel the same way on the condolences.

Sorry condolences was the wrong word. I meant I felt bad for you that for the first 30 years of your life you didnt have an Australian football club to support.. I was born into an Australian club .. what league structure we play in is irrelevant to my support.

So out of curiosity, if I were (heaven forbid) Scottish and told you I was a football lover all my life but followed an English club I picked out of the newspaper, because I wasn't Protestant or Catholic and couldn't find a club in all of Scotland that "represented me" could I be YOUR Kryptonite? lol
No, but that actually happens more than you think in Scotland , although, not out of a newspaper, as we have progressed past that.

Crowd wise we def need a Auckland vs WSW final for the good of the game in Australia (and NZ). But will prob end up with a City vs WU final at Tarnet stadium.

Yes it was sad that I just didn't find a club that suited me, hence thanks for Sydney FC (despite being shit this year). Didn't stop me from going to games or to follow Australian Football, but sadly no team did it for me.

sorry people not thread specific but wondering robbos.
Obviously depending where you grew up way back in our young days our migrant parents.
Portugese background many many of them resided inner burbs, Petersham/Enmore/Marrickville and eastern burbs.
Didn't the ol man know fellow portugese - many would have got behind Fraser Park to this day, started early '60's then set up at the railway ground Marrickville.
Too funny I'm even a Madeira Club member.
Maybe you guys grew up away from that realm, mind you so did my fam re the Italians.
Manly Manly Manly :)

yes grew up away from these areas, away from realm. Mainly only Portuguese I met were family, sometimes met his cronies, but from young age I wanted to be an Aussie. Maybe this shaped me. I'd heard all the stories of Eusebio but loved Johnny Warren more.
Love Ronaldo, fav player of all time, but if he played the Socceroos, I'd want Irvine to kick him into row Z.

Haha cr7, yer id be right behind following up kicking him :)
Yes I hear you from where we live - same since a bub as well.
I’m still an Aussie through and through mind you following Aussie APIA club and next level Aussie SU.
Same applied when bloody Lucas got sucker punched by Grosso gaining that pen against us - I’m Aussie.
Your a very rare neutral not finding a local club (beach’s) to regularly keep an eye on and follow…….plenty Aussie clubs.
I have a lot of interest in Manly in the npl for yonks and now Spirit seeing they are up there.

Sorry mate that statement is what I dislike more than anything.... Are you implying that those of us who DID associate with our parents communities DIDN'T want to be Aussies?

No not at all & even if they did as many did, I have no issues.
I have many friends of parents coming from another country, be it England, Italy, Greece, Croatia and even Holland some hold on to their parent's heritage more than others & I have no issues either way, just telling you why I choose the path I did & why many of my friends at Sydney FC are the same, parents from other countries but now 20 years of strong SFC history, it's in our blood.
