A-League Mens 24/25 - Round 24

This is a weird phenomenon, but after watching the Socceroos against China and Indo, I feel AL teams - SFC, Melb City in partic, Melb Vic ( no Teague and Valadon in this week's starting line up) and maybe Adel U, are moving the ball more quickly than the Socceroos!

This week I've had a good look at SFC/City and AU/Melb V in round 24.

Whereas I expected Teague to struggle for the Socceroos against China, he showed he was one of the best technicians in the team. Teague showed a number of his more experienced Socceroo teammates up in technical proficiency.

Two other ripping goals for young City guns Memeti and Caputo.

The latter should have worked the keeper from an assist late in the first half too.

Memeti used his left foot to shoot from a cross, which was closer to the ball. Many make the mistake of shooting with their preferred foot, if it is further away. Less time for defenders to intercept.

Tilio's pass in the assist and Caputo's execution were high quality.

I'm not sure if it is Segecic's lack of defensive discipline, or, lax positional play, but he has some phenomenal attacking prowess ATM, and is a quality technician on the ball - dribbling, first touch and shooting.

I'd like to hear Talay's rationale for benching him?
His defensive work is actually quite poor.

Isn't it great to have an exciting young Australian front two at an A League club!
