Why not have p/r for the lowest NZ team each season. Just to keep the crop fresh, so to speak?

You get more NZ teams in the shop window and the dross gets flushed each year too.

Seriously though - all NZ has to do is leave Oceania and move to Asia. Would you pass up automatic World Cup qualification every 4 years to be included? I would if it was Australia back in Oceania and we had the choice.

If we allowed a South American team in and they won there is no 'merit' that should allow them into the ACL. They are not Asia and the Asian Football Confederation has every right to limit involvement to Asian teams. It is their comp.

You know that there are posters on here who feel the same about the Australian League having NZ teams to start with so maybe you are trolling a bit.

Now that NZ have 2 major teams they can go down the SPL path and form their own competition ;)

With the way things have been going lately with the ALM they could all the NZ teams as possible!.

But if you were an all whites fan (I thought you were a Socceroos supporter) would you trade Oceania automatic qualification for Asia's lengthier and less guaranteed path combined with ACL inclusion?

Joining Asia would def be the goal, But i doubt AFC would take NZ let a lone Oceania allowing them to leave. Back on the A-league i would rather see 14k crowds at a Christchurch team game then watching a Canberra side with 3k crowds.

Sydney FC did not great out there, I would be surprised if they could get a point against a good Melb City team but I guess in football especially in this crazy league of ours anything can happen lol.

No Klimala or Sena tonight. I expect to see them next week.
That said, the Smurfs or Adelaide can only get 6th place

This weekends results has kept open 5 of the 6 finishing positions. Only top spot has been decided.

There is a live possibility of a Sydney Derby (that would make WSW fans salty) and Westgate Derby in week 1.
