A-League Mens 24/25 - Round 5

No mate, not touchy, it's just some like point out all the negatives of the A-League & no doubt there are many negatives, some are very agenda driven, I tend to enjoy what I enjoy.
Lots of talk about franchise clubs in the A-League, most of the big clubs in the PL (so not doing anything that is different) are franchises, including Liverpool, who are part of the Fenway sports group franchise, of course this is not a middle Eastern ownership, so some choose to ignore that it's not fans owned but owned by large franchise that allows it to compete at a much higher level than my team Derby.
100% agree, EPL clubs are the most plasticy franchises around (apart from the Red Bull garbage.... that is the absolute pits in my oppinion)...

I passed on a link/article about the weekends rounds, thought people would be interested to read it as I did if missed.
Sure some are very agenda driven, thats what makes the place tick, differences discussion.
No diff being in the pub with a large group.

Ofcourse so so many Clubs have "owners" they did before ogarlords as well, some with more $ others not.
How the cookie crumbles since the Roman days.
Putting aside the ME/Saudi comp and similar importantly the countless orgarlords abroad ( resource varies) put in $'s to invest/improve/compete And they are in P/R leagues......and the Clubs DNA came from organic local burbs.
EPL/LaLiga/SerieA/Bundas you name it, without investors ain't happenning.
EPL to Championship and lower thats what makes the game wonderful top to bottom, you and my Derby mate are happy as competing in the Championship having got promoted from L1, damn great.
Look at Wrexham.
My Leeds mate rejoiced the other day they are equal top atm, he's hanging for them to get back up.
Other team mates are suffering and will be hanging on the edge right through the season, Eagles/Wolves/Saints supporters.
This is football as we know all too well and its main artery no matter who owns them reward to win and price to pay demotion.
Despite the buckets of money and usual suspects as one would point out (thats how it goes and have's have not's not new) P/R adds to the excitement/tensions and makes for huge games even against those top of the ladder - variety, surprise''s, curve balls last few games
You only have to view the Championship play offs as one of the best examples of P/R football no matter how much $/ogarlord either Club contesting has.

haha MSC trust you to poke ya bastardo, IF the LFC shoe was on Derby's foot robbos would be rejoicing of the old days when they were in Div1 and rapted competing in the EPL.
He would be luving they climbed back up last season and have finishing mid table provides hope for the following season, whereas locally win lose draw its the same same every season but the change of personal gives hope as he's enjoying SFC this season, they have some good players, whereas at times I question the quality of the competition overall how much it shuffles and overall no price to pay for mediocrity.
I'd be there for fun if there was something to lose (id give it more respect) but I can't grasp a club to date regardless.

Sorry for the sermon and off thread track fellas I'll go back into my space elsewhere :)

Their crowds will plummet. They don't like being referred to as Western suburbs.
banter is banter Sutho as you know.
Same applies East Syd or whatever else they say.
I thought the westie has matured and proud westie nowadays

No worries LFC, like you said it's just banter, just providing my bit of positive about Unite round. I don't like it, it doesn't work, but as someone above said, it's better than the original Sydney GF that they sold to the NSW govt.

Just wanted to share my own personal experience, SFC playing well in front of big crowd & great atmosphere.

East Sydney, does not bother me one bit. I laugh at it, as most of them used to be one of us.
