I think the league would hypothetically be better with Heidelberg in, likewise Melb knights if they could get their shit together etc hopefully bergers get a taste for it this year via the qualifying spot etc
 
Surely ASADA are opposed to cash injections...? Artificially creates an unfair advantage (yes, just like my plastic brigade :)).

For the name change though - tats are not the way to stay relevant with a football club.

Im sure there are some basic rules in place that need to be adhered to, but its more of a case of "whats good for thebgoose is good for the gander" in their opinion!
 
I’m confused. Whats wrong with selling equity to investors? Happens to football clubs all over the world in every league. The fact that Wests want to invest in APIA is great. It shows that there are people with money that believe in the Championship.

There is no problem in that, but changing your name to suit the investors is a step to far IMO

Agreed, investment is great... I wonder why they wouldn't invest in an Aleague franchise though? Any thoughts?

Obviously only TR and the board know till some news gets leaked and good question we wait with bated breath.
To date the Wests relationship has been a good partnership for APIA.

Glenardo I get our rivalry and spreading the Championship field BUT APIA are the better comparing the Bergs stat to stat.
MK I agree shame they have fallen off the cliff as it happens.

I think you’ve miss understood what I’ve said there, I’m not saying it would be better to have Heidelberg than APIA, I’m saying the league would be better off with all the current clubs plus Heidelberg, plus knights. I want APIA to be in the league

The comparison between APIA and Heidelberg wasn’t meant as an insult, both are historic valuable clubs. I just meant APIA Leichhardt is to Marconi in the Italian community in Sydney what Heidelberg is to South Melbourne with the greeks in Melbourne.
