Burgess highest rated in the game on 80min. An absolute rock today. Just got to hold on.

FFS Bournemouth score. Muric runs out unnecessarily while the cross is just out of Burgess's foot reach and the header goes into him and into the goal. A bit stride more and Burgess clears it. It had to somehow there.

Burgress own goal again. He has been good b4 that

Vs Mexico: Dumb foul conceded Penalty
Vs Japan : own goal
Vs Bahrain: assist to Bahrain

The latter two really aren't any thigh against him. A mistrap near halfway almost ever becomes a goal.

well if he keeps his spot long enough he should get that tiny bit of extra polish into his game. He was a set piece threat, got an assist and did a souttar like last ditch tackle

Bournemouth go on to win it. Bloody Ipswich losing their heads. Burgess and Davis arguing about defensive roles there. Burgess with such a great game then at the end there two moments where another movement would have blocked two goals.

First one Muric shouldn't be coming out. The second was poor midfield coverage by Ipswich and Davis and Burgess needed to understand who should have taken the runner.

Watch all the goals this weekend and you've got seasoned EPL players being that bit off the pace in their stance or decision making. It's part of the game. Akin to a tennis pro hitting the net. They're not going to be everywhere or correct like some laser beam.

Plaudits for Burgess mostly. Would've been his finest performance ever.

Also, the number of Ipswich fans behind the goal that stood up and shuffled along the row the moment the net cracked. What a joke. VAR had to check the goal and there were still 90 seconds to play.

At least he looks better than Souttar when he was at Leicester in EPL.
And by better it doesn't mean Souttar was bad either. Souttar was fine the absolute minimal time he got. Unlucky deflection own goal on debut and the only time he got caught was the late Palace one-two winner. Yet, which EPL defender hasn't had two attackers get by him?

What a great early goal by Spurs. This is what I want to see the national team do. Our players would not pin their ears back rather pass the ball straight back to Miller.

We've got to have 10 second transition time limits because the opponents getting organised fazes us too much.

Bos bench. Think this is the first time he has been tested to earn his way back into the xi. Players usually come back better if they do

Sure it'd be the absolute downgrade but Ange going to Hamburg or Schalke would be fun.

Souttar was a starter next to Faes under Rodgers for almost 2 months. The comments about Souttar at the time was he wasnt suitable for high line tactic. He always kept the opposition defenders onside. Maybe he is more experienced now and ready for EPL with Sheffield UTD.
