Nice one Garang. Got to remember he looked decent at a Dutch basket case. Volendam were that bad but he gave it a good go despite their anti football stance.

They must've turned it around because they're top of the 2nd division. Gotta love to see Garang getting back to his best!!! I would love to see him take the McGree/ Robertson route & sign with a Championship team or League 1

bennie playing striker and waddinghame playing right wing, wish they could swap!

Bennie not looking out of place at all and swivelled around a defender to get around a brilliant shot which forced a diving save. Just needed a fraction more power

Waddingham unfortunately a bit invisible with the portsmouth distribution heavily favouring sending balls down the left flank

And waddingham off too

Brilliant they both got a chance and hopefully they build on that

Portsmouth lose with last kick of the game. They're back in the relegation fight now but there are so many teams amongst it.

Kind of insane that Garang hasn't even made the bench in the PL, I got a feeling they have to offer him an extension or up his wage if he makes a PL appearance and NU desperate to save money atm. Pretty sad.

I think this is pretty far from reality (with respect). There are some very good players ahead of him and no-one on the NUFC forum is calling for him to be included. Also, NUFC are one of the richest clubs in the world.

It's good they kept him inhouse this season to have a closer look and he's done very well after injury. Pretty certain to be loaned again next season - hopefully to a Championship club.

I agree with the bolded bits, however, I think he is well worth a look at with the first team squad. He is a player with a 'x' factor that maybe the 'very good' players in front of him don't have. He can change a game very quickly and having him on the bench against one of the lesser teams like Ipswich would be ideal introduction.

I don't disagree with that and would love to see him in the first team squad, but it's very unlikely without a massive injury crisis.

Challenge for Piol

I think that the mls and the a league are a little bit like benfica b or dortmund 2 where there is huge variance in the quality of player compared to most leagues. If you are good enough for the championship, jupiler league, etc you generally play. But you can be too good for a league (like okon in portrugal, segecic at sfc or amini in buli 3) and struggle to get game time because you are stuck behind a top player. I think it can really stifle players development

You'd think alot of this would come down to squad sizes, and how condensed the season is.

Championship Squad sizes are essentially the size of Aleague sides; Champ-25 man squad, ALeague 23

Ain't no passengers in that league.

I really think German 3rd tier would be perfect for Kuol now in that it's tough but also he'll have the chance to shine if he is to kick on.

Clubs like Aachen, Essen or Saarbrücken could see his profile increase for 2nd tier clubs within a year.

Main thing is to avoid big clubs ejth reserve teams or German 4th tier.
Anywhere decent he can get senior minutes at will be a bonus. But I feel regular minutes at a promotion pushing league one side or similar would be best suited.

Having to adjust again to another foreign country and language when he seems to be getting some confidence back in his play will may slow his progress. Ultimately who knows.
