is that a call up for experience for a young player, or have the standards dropped for the national team so much?

I don't have a issue with any kid like Volpato going the path he is for he hardly did much here playing Snr's, infact none if I'm right, U19's for Italy says it all whereas Mehmeti has grown through the Jnr ranks U19/20's and played much more into Snrs.

Casadei stands 6'4 - he killed it in the '23 U20 WC 9 games for 8goals, golden ball and boot awards.
22, the Azzurri have been blooding many players the last couple of seasons trying to find the right fits.
He can play anywhere in the mid can attack and defend, very versatile and has the skill set.
I'm not sure I could say Volpato as versatile.
