If the FA were serious about it, they should push the govt to give them a home of football and call it the 2032 Olyroos project or something similar and the aim to win gold as a motive.

We definitely can match it with the best at U20 level with our best team. Argentina will be tough but a draw isn't out of this world. Italy and Cuba are beatable.

Di Pizio, Hall, Waddingham not in the camp for different reasons. Any other glaring omissions or age eligible we must add for the tournament proper?

Leonard is years younger but is his skill level as good as the others? No doubting his potential but it's often about letting the current cohort do their thing then the next are in line to have their turn.

I appreciated their stamina late in games but I wasn't overly convinced by Talladira. Kikianis got better but he was very casual early on in the tournament. I'd be curious to see them up against Leonard who by most accounts, consider his age too, is a very good all rounder. Glad to have the depth but this isn't a tournament for anyone rusty to be out there.

Jai Ajanovic (Central Coast Mariners FC) and Sonny Inzalaco (Perth RedStar FC) have been called into the Australia U18s squad for the UEFA Friendship Cup 2025.

Daniel Graskoski (Melbourne Victory FC) and Lachlan Charles (Melbourne City FC) have been required to stay in Australia and support their respective teams’ Isuzu UTE A-League Men Grand Final preparations, and due to Australia’s match schedule would not be able to participate in the tournament.
