Sign Up Now!Part of the package.if you are already a stan sport customer and paying the $27 a month, will they now charge you more for EPL or does it came part of the package?
Nah. More like Fox couldn't give a shit about football or the fans. Keep your blinkers on though.^sounds like Fox knew the correct value because Optus will be paying Stan $40m a year for the next 3 years just to get rid of it.

Optus are also not paying Stan, they are paying the EPL
I'm not protective over the company. I'm just sensible about football in this country.I’ll contact Stan and see if they can find out for you if Optus are paying Stan who are then paying the EPL, or if Optus are paying the EPL directly. Because it matters so much…
Optus don’t care about the sport. They thought they could force EPL diehards onto their mobile network by making it compulsory to have a mobile phone plan to watch the EPL. When that backfired they were forced to open it up to everyone else. Ultimately their shit strategy backfired and they are paying someone else $40mil to take the rights off of them.
I can’t believe how protective you are over a company from Singapore. Especially a shit company like Optus.
BT still owns part of TNT, but I think I see your point. The problem I think is the disconnect. TV money goes to the clubs, but clubs are spending more than they have, so these companied are spending more than they should, and it's basically the fans footing the bills.I think that Optus and a few other telco business's here and there have finally realised that using sports as a driver of building internet and mobile subscriptions hasn't been particularly successful.
BT, the UK equivalent of Telstra recently sold a majority in their sports subscription service BT Sports to the Discovery Group which rebranded the service as TNT Sports.
I'm generally happy with the outcome. What I want to see now is BeIN Sports upgrade their service with better quality streams and a return of Ligue 1 & 2.BT still owns part of TNT, but I think I see your point. Problem is, fans are struggling and the more you try to get out of them, the less they will keep giving.
I think Stan will fall flat too at some point. Forcing people to have the entertainment package, then to buy sport separately, and then to pay more if you more screens or 4k. The basic Stan package doesn't even offer sport in HD, so you're forced to go for the Standard package as a minimum.
I can't justify signing up for so many. Even though I get Bein for free, I barely ever use it.I'm generally happy with the outcome. What I want to see now is BeIN Sports upgrade their service with better quality streams and a return of Ligue 1 & 2.
I am or have been a subscriber to Optus, Stan, BeIn, Triller TV, Paramount + and even MLS on Apple+. And Binge for this WCC...
I'm admitting my football adiction here. YES I need help I am an addict.....![]()
I'll never get this hate. Aussie fans don't actually realise how bad things were before Optus Sport. Some of the conversations from Fox exec were ringing alarm bells for just how people view football fans. There was a time where not a single company wanted anything to do with football and were offering peanuts for it. Optus actually saved EPL rights at the time. The service was not always the best, and they had some teething issues during that world cup, but I'd much rather that and in the hands of people who care about the game, than people who view the fan as a means to just make money.
People are getting excited to have EPL and Champs league in one place, but after Jan, you have to pay for Champs League seperate, and EPL seperate.
Where did I say that?you think Optus didn't care about making money?
that's why they've cut their losses and bowed out
they don't care about the game any more than Foxtel or anyone else
Is this new? I use to watch EPL games through TSNDazn Canada have EPL at $18.5 AUD per month. They're not the best at blocking vpns but you'll need good bandwidth.
