No shit. Well the Libs have always needed the Nats to form any government so without them it would nigh on impossible to form any government. That has been in place about 40 plus years I think ?Nats split from the Libs. Let's see how long for.
what?Imagine being homophobic and proud of it.
the Coalition is deadWait are the coalition split up?
A lot of progressive political activists in this neck of the woods have been revelling in the implosion of the conservatives.Nats split from the Libs. Let's see how long for.
I'd say all progressives I know in the union movement, environment/climate, social justice/civil liberties agree Dutton and the LNP lost because they went too far right.the Coalition is dead
the far leftists here think its because the Liberals have gone too far right![]()

Yes! For the moment.Wait are the coalition split up?
To be fair i think its the americans that changed liberal to mean legt wing?Yes! For the moment.
Happy days!
I'd like to see the hard right of the Libs form the Aus Conservative Party with the Nationals. That is what they are - rampant conservatives!
Then the few small L libs remaining ( Sharma, Wolohan, Bragg) could form a proper Liberal party , like the former British Liberals, a bit akin to the US Democrats or some of the European Social Democrats. They could join up with Teals - Helen Haines, Zali Steggall, Chaney and Allegra Spender - all with former Liberal Party ties.
The Aus Liberal Party name is a misnomer. It is inherently a right wing conservative party.
because the Liberals went too far leftTo be fair i think its the americans that changed liberal to mean legt wing?
Anyone know why the nationals broke with the libs
Fair bit of detail here.To be fair i think its the americans that changed liberal to mean legt wing?

Good succinct summation. From memory they said they weren't guaranteed 4 policy positions. Breakup of supermarkets, nuclear power and a rural future fund and a communications guarantee.
And not explicitly stated but hinted at, an abandoning of net zero.
Facts are if the Libs and Nats get enough seats at an election they would form a coalition.
