Boutique stadiums Australia

Corporate sponsors pay the bills, thus justifying the corporate lounges. The days of BBQ’s at the top end of town are over. Yes, still relevant in the lower leagues.
You don't do irony very well do you Sutho? APL is so skint they don't do BBQ's at the top end of town, they only bring along inflatable bottles of BBQ sauce.....

for those of us who are lazy, what price are these modular stadiums per spectator?

85 million for 20,000 capacity = 4250 per seat
So at 30 dollar entrance fees u have to sell 150 tickets before u pay for it. Thats only 10-12 seasons and, more importantly, changes the financial incentives to push for a longer season

If City dont build a boutique stadium down in the South east in the next 2 years they will fold the club.

There is not a chance in the world that CFG will keep burning money on them. What are they producing talent wise, and what impact have they had on the football landscape in this country??

Look at Girona and New York City FC. Both producing on a scale Melbourne City can only dream of.

Stadium or curtains for the club. 100%

The ticket for a bum on the seat is not really in the equation for professional clubs. It's important but it doesn't pay the bills. Corporate, naming rights, pourage aren't just your revenue streams, they're screaming profit streams. The bums on the seats is the foundation for all the other revenues that flow after that.

We gave them mooy, azarni, Atkinson, bos etc

Have new York city given them anyone big?

We're chump change for them

When is Melbourne City going to build a nice boutique stadium in Dandenong? There hasn't been much news on it recently.

Like everything else I guess, no one wants to fund it.

CFG could buy another club in Spain or Asia with what they spend on Melbourne City each year.

Mooy the only transfer fee that moves the needle from those 4.

NYCFC have had 2 outgoing transfers of players over the 10 million Euro amount. Their record fee is 10x that of Melbourne City.

There's a boutique stadium in Brisbane called Perry Park. The State Government should have invested heavily in it to increase the capacity to 10,000.

It would male an ideal A League venue for the city’s major club Brisbane Strikers. If not the A League then a national second division if that ever gets off the ground.

I mean who wants tonsil in a cavernous 52,000 stadium with 6-7,000 others watching a game????
Agree 100%. The best football atmosphere I’ve experienced since Roar’s heyday GFs was watching Strikers beat Wellington in an Australia Cup match at Perry Park. Would love to see both Perry Park and Lions ground at Richlands developed into 10,000 seat stadiums with both sides in the NSD.
