Need to keep this lead and maintain pressure now ,can't let the Sea Budgies get a sniff... Xerri hammered by Kikau

Good effort in the first half, high quality game.

I think Xerri will be ok.

We need to play for 80 mins, good practice for the semis.

Manly playing well, will be dangerous in the semis if they make it.

Galvin playing well, Burton playing well, spine combing well.

One unfortunate forward pass from Marhoney our only mistake, he should have passed to Hayes, Hayes might have scored.

One of the best wins for a while.

Manly played well, with plenty of intensity at the start.

By the end of the game, we were in total control.

Tracey out 3-6 Weeks.

Fullback options Tuala, Wilson, Cochrane and Sua.

Taffee might be back from injury soon.

Sua scored an amazing try in reserve on the weekend.

Cochrane very impressive in the trials.

I think fullback is Wilson's best position.

Montoya probably right to go this weekend, if not Rinakama or Sua can play wing.

I think Cirro is preferring Tuala because he has more experience and composure than the young guys.

Out of the extended bench DSF and Woods not named in NSW cup.

Apparently his AFL background means that Woods might be able to play fullback.

I remember guys like Sherwin and Alchin playing a few games at fullback. Drinkwater who plays FB for the Cows is a small guy.

Critter and Kiraz are still working on their combination.

I still think Tuala at FB is more likely, Cochrane and Wilson are named in reserve grade.

Most of the time Cochrane plays FB in reserves or Taaffe. Sua has I think played on game. Wilson perhaps only a game or 2. Looking pretty unlikely that Wilson will play NRL fullback for us this season.

Sydney Swans were dead keen to sign Woods, I'm not sure if his AFL position was seagull1, seagull2 or seagull3, he was in the flock chasing the chips .... oops I mean chasing the ball.

If left Ben Barba off the list of halves who played sometime at fullback Lockyer and Hughes at the Storm are other examples.

Woods is more of a pure half than Barba, Woods has more footwork than Tracey and he set up a good try grubber kicking for himself to chase in reserves.

We have probably stumbled on on way of introducing Woods to NRL next season. The downside is him getting wacked after catching a high ball, probably a bit too early to expose him to that.

Kiraz and Tuala could probably play half a game each at fullback and right wing swapping at half-time. That is a way of easing them into the higher workrate at FB and seeing which player handles it best.

Tigers are probably fielding their strongest team of the season.

Bula is a big addition for them, IMO already close to the best fullback in the game.

Tigers seem to be carrying fewer injures than Manly and have more fit high workrate forwards. Looking at their team the only surprise is that they haven't banked more wins are a not really in the mix for a top 8 spot.

It might take 40-50 minutes of high speed grind and good execution to put them away. Yes, they might fall in a heap if we get the first 50 mins right.

Overall on par with the Cows and slightly better than the Dragons and Manly.

We don't want the fullback shuffle impacting on our defence.

I am expecting a similar game to the Dragons, but with them scoring fewer points and not leading at any stage in the second half.

16-6 our way after 60 mins, finishing 34-10 after they hopefully fall appart in the last 20.

If they play well the whole 80, and we maintain our standards 20-10 our way, with the final match winning try in the last 5 minutes.

Yep, we could lose, but we are a consistent side that rarely plays badly.

Storm V Eels. I couldn't decide who I wanted to win.

We need to keep winning to stay top 2.

Top 2 means that we don't need to rush Tracey back for week 1 of the finals.

Looking forward to the game, good test for us.

Eels were pretty hopeless, normal service has been resumed,

Give me Burto over myth Moses in big games when it counts.

Papalli good for the Eels, I hope that letting him go waa the right call.

The Storm were very unimpressive and if they don't pick their game up they may not go deep into the finas at all.

Best way for us to finish top 4 is beat the Storm in Melbourne.

But we can't afford to drop this game against the Tigers and the team knows that.

This is the perfect set up to the end of the season, even game counts for the top 11 sides. And the bottom 6 are playing for plenty.

We can help our fullback by good kick/chase/tackle/linespeed and limiting the opportunities the opposition get at our end.

Storm play the Broncos twice, I don't know what to expect from those games, but neither side can afford to lose both of them.

Broncos taking 1 win off the Storm will help us.

I’m expecting that. And that should help. But our game against Melbourne in Melbourne is the game to finish top two

Cirro might decide to opt for more size in the forwards if it is raining.

So I now think DSF is more likey to play than Woods.

I don’t know if any of our forwards need a rest, the guys most likely to be rested are Hayward and Hayes.

So far, Cirro doesn't agree with the idea of more size, if it is raining and he doesn't do it, he is never doing it.

We are going to have to be good to win it from here.

We need to be smarter about how we play in the wet.

Win it with defence, hard running and kicking.

I hope that we learn something from this, we fall apart in the wet.

Roosters last year, Broncos, Fins and Tigers this year.

We can't play dry weather football in the wet. Hard running, size, competitions, kicking game and defence are what wins it.

Some of our worst players this game are usually our best, so they have credits in the bank.

I am not confident about a finals game in the wet until we play well in the wet. Handled it better a couple of times last season.

It's true wet weather kills us , Tigers were pumped up I'll give them credit for this win .
Connor Tracey big miss but like you said should learn . Shame about the loss could had gone to to the top .
Team needs to regroup forget about today and look ahead for a top 2 finish ..

Not sure about Kiraz at fullback, but we would have lost even if Tracey played.

Tigers would have been hard to beat even in dry conditions.

Burto and Xerri excellent against Manly, Burto, Xerri and Kiks had the worst games i have seen from them.

Anyway only one bad game and we weren't the only side troubled by a side lower down the table.

The comp is even, no win is easy.

There was a lot of emotion in last weeks game against with 1995 Grand Final and all that might have contributed a bit to the loss today as well you never know. but I remember in 19 95 team was getting pumped until the side just clicked in and went all the way never know this could be an omen.
