Critter and Mann rested against the Cows.

Tuala at right centre, I hope that he can do the job.

Salmon replacing Mann.

Debut for Rinakama on the left wing, he might score a try or 2.

Go Dogs !!! We need to win this.

So no Critter No Mann . Wow Big losses .
Hopefully rest of team can step up .

We just need to find our mojo.

Good debut from Rinakama, a bit lucky to be leading at half-time.

Nothing to do with Galvin, SOO disrupted the side and we have been patchy in attack for most of the season against willing defence.

The media are a bunch of headless Chooks and should be ignored. Too many fans take too much notice of the media and the win/loss column.

I'm more concerned that we have been dropping a lot of ball the last few weeks.

Wow looked shaky at the start but good comeback . Should now go on from here hopefully: Cows starting to crack a bit ..

Definitely the drop balls kept Cows in the game .

Just relieved to get the win, some absolute BS decisions from the ref who seemed to try hard to get the Cows over the line.

Just need to somehow beat the Dragons next game, their race is almost run.

I think that we went a bit better in the second half, but we put in a few dud kicks.

Cirro explained that Galvin was left out so that we could play and extra forward in challenging conditions with King backing up and Salmon coming back from injury.

I hope that Galvin plays reserve grade, Galvin and Woods should be too much for the Bears reserve grade side.

We are back to full strength with no injuries to regular NRL players except Montoya, Taffee is injured for around 5 weeks and i have no idea where Hutch is.

I hope that Rinakama gets a few more games.

We just need to keep working on the attack. I think that the errors in the past few weeks have been caused in part by opposition intensity and linespeed. Earlier in the season we played against some soft defence.

That game was won on defence . The Cows needed a win badly. Like the commentary said Galvin needs a full off-season with the club . Would had made sense now if Gould loaned him to another team for this season .
You see the difference Mahoney was tonight knowing he was going to play a full 80 mins . Good to get back to the winning circle .

We might be glad Galvin is at the club in semis.

For example, his kicks higher bombs than Sexton, and has far more ability to break tackles running the ball.

Sexton and Marhoney are playing well, Galvin isn't a certainty to be in the side each week.

23 players competing for 17 spots each week is exactly what we need.

At his best Galvin adds X-Factor. His passing right to left needs some work. But we need more set plays where our second rowers and centres stand deep and run on to passes.

Galvin can play lock and Hayward can play hooker.

Sexton can play hooker, Burton can move to left centre.

Injury/ HIA can trigger a reshuffle.

For example if Critter comes off HIA, Xerri will swap to right centre, Burton to left centre and Galvin or Hayward to 5/8. We have already practiced that. Using Hayward means someone else playing lock.

For this reason the final spot may be a choice between Salmon and Galvin. Salmon is a better defender, Galvin is a better attacker.

Against sides like the Broncos Cirro should leave out Galvin or Sexton and have more size in the forwards.

In high intensity semis can Marhoney play 80 mins each week, make lots of tackles, and have a low error rate?

Cirro will pick what he thinks is the best 17 for each game.

Fans don’t see what players do at training.

If nothing else this season is good prep for Galvin playing at the Dogs in 2026.

I will not be surprised if Woods is the NRL halfback by this stage of the season in 2026. Galvin might still be a utility or he might be 5/8.

Cirro will use Galvin I think when he needs to from now on . The Cows game proved it . Reed was solid and he needs to play 80 mins rest of the season . Salmon fish made a huge difference. Was very solid and is a tough nut . Getting Critter and Mann back will get us back on track .
Looking at our future games all of them are winnable. Need to try to get that first home semi final .

Cirro has shown that he will vary the side and the game plan as needed.

Galvin will not play every game, but he will improve and may be important at some stage this season.

Galvin didn't play reserve grade and we got flogged 50-0. A bit surprising, on paper we had a pretty good side.

IMO a lot of the criticism of Galvin stems from journalists taking every opportunity to take a cheap shot at Gus.

The players and the club have accepted that Marhoney and Sexton will not be here next season. With the future settled we are trying to make the most of this seasons opportunity.

I don’t agree that Reed needs to play 80 mins every game. His form dipped at one stage this season and he made a lot of unforced errors passing the ball from dummy half.

After a rest and a reset he has been better for at least the last few weeks.

It might not have been playing 80, but his form was poor at one stage. He playing much better now, that is important, why it happened isn't so important.

There is a reason why Cirro likes having Salmon in the team.

Comp is very even this season 8-9 teams think that they can win it.

Most teams have faith in the coach, even the bottom 4 teams.

Squad depth and injuries are being well managed.

Last season it was obvious that we were banged up and limped into the semis.

This season the Warriors and Fins have issues, but are handling them well. Many of teams may be close to full strength in the semis.

We are the best defensive team, but we need to work on completions, execution and attack.

Storm are favourites because they have the experience and the attack. Broncos and Roosters have the attack, but their defence can be suspect. Broncos defence has improved a lot in the last few weeks.

Our biggest plus is we probably want it more than the other teams. Desire without execution and composure can only take a team so far.

Ball security, play the ball, passing, kicking, tackle technique, discipline, defence, kicking game, all of that can be coached.

To quote Trump - "Drill, baby drill.

I think that we have the raw ingredients in attack, size, speed and skill. Except for a big powerful front rower with an offload, our second rowers and centres are dangerous which partially compensates.

Nice to be back in the winners circle. Now is the time to push forwards and give a few teams nightmares. Critta and Mann will improve our attack. Only one game away from Sydney in Melbourne. The playing group should be settled. It’s time for the team to click into gear.
