A question for you all - I really want to know how you think ...
The Biden Department of Justice (federal level) investigated the sexual allegation against Matt Gaetz that he had sex with a minor. And you know that if the Biden DOJ had found anything of substance, they would have sought to destroy Gaetz. But the Department of Justice found nothing, and didn't press charges.
But, as you know, in the rats nest of dirty politics, the Democrats started their own investigation in the House of Congress's ethics committee. They've stretched it out for 2 years, which helped them say for 2 years that "Gaetz is under ethics investigation".
Given that the partisan Department of Justice dropped the case, why are you so quick to see Gaetz as a sexual predator? (Some of you have written that, accusing him).
In my worldview, where a person is innocent until proven guilty, for me, the most extreme I could take is to remain neutral until facts and evidence emerge.
I cannot bring myself to form a negative opinion, until I see facts and evidence either for or against.
Whereas we live in a culture where the Media slanders people, and the common folk (that's you) just believe the Media. I find it helpful to interact with you lot, because it trains me to understand how typical people (like you) in society act in these matters, i.e. they bring out the pitchforks at the slightest hint from the Media. You lot have taught me that the average Aussie, in 2024, is not a fair-minded, justice-focused person, like previous generations of Australians were more so.
This is why, for me, facts and evidence are all-important. And it's what leads me even to the 6,000 year issue (as Muz will be quick to remind) ... facts and evidence.
The 6,000 year issue is proof that people like Muz operate -- not on facts/evidence -- but on an automatic-assumption mode. i.e. if someone says something that totally jarrs his worldview - rather than testing facts and evidence - he switches to automatic-judgment mode to say it is totally ridiculous. For Muz, when something is so overwhelmingly ridiculous, he switches to automatic-judgment, no need for examining facts/evidence.
I see that Muz is typical of the majority of Australians, am I correct?
A local Florida attorney is reviving accusations against Trump’s Attorney General pick, Matt Gaetz, in a last-ditch effort to harm his chances of assuming his new role. As The Gateway Pundit reported, the mainstream media has launched an all-out public assassination on Matt Gaetz following his...
