he won't be winning friends with supporters of traditional clubs by singling out the 1million dollars for the championship as ambitious and unrealistic when the whole package is 3.8 billion.

That dig aside its a useful article and I recommend reading the whole report

they even call for policy changes on policing games and flares

Haha I was just about to post about that! Having a whinge about $1m out of billions... WTF Vince!! If anything $1m is chicken feed and barely enough! But I'm sure JJ will do some creative accounting and shift funds towards that project regardless.

Probably went nowhere but at least this initiative is a joint effort by the various administrations.
It sets out clearly how far behind some other sports, in the allocation of funding, football is and not just at the professional level (think AFL/NRL).
It’s a well presented lobbying platform and deserves the support of all football fans, not only at the ballot box.

According to today's Box2Box podcast, Football Australia is about to announce an $8 million dollar LOSS!

No wonder they've been hard-arses about funding the Championship! Dafuq does the cash go????
