I just bought the new black ops. Definitely the best COD since BO3.

Apparently BO6 is part of the Xbox Game Pass / Netflix style thing, so will definitely be giving that a go with the missus (she loves playing Zombies, and we finally after like 8 years finished the "Origins" story on BO3 a month ago)

Generally I play sports games, and Nintendo games. Bought a gaming PC last year for my birthday and is a great decision gaming wise. EA Play Pro costs $160 a year, and I get the F1, Madden, FC and WRC games annually, which I would all play anyways, so big savings, and runs on par, if not better than my Xbox.

Madden's team builder is hilariously good this year - so I made the NRL and AFL (minus the 2 recent AFL expansion sides, and NZ Warriors from NRL) in that to make an Australian NFL. Might share some screenshots when I get around to playing that again.

Mostly been playing Assetto Corsa on PC, and the LEGO Harry Potter re-release recently.
 
Old School Runescape, Minecraft and Football Manager are my consistently installed games and I'll do cycles of a FPS shooter. Currently playing Siege again and will probs go back to CS next.
 
Diablo 4 with interstate friends/family weekly, Subsistence, 7 Days to Die, Phasmophobia with grandmonsters and the sound off.

Previous favourites: Minecraft, World of Tanks, Grim Dawn

Can't stand any game where I spend hours getting stuff for some tosser to take it in seconds after killing me. Reading between lines, I am crap at PVP.

Pretty sure Old School Runescape saw my email and password purchased on darkweb last time I went back to it :(.

Most challenging and absorbing puzzle game played: Myst and Myst 2 (note: Myst 2 with a degree of colour blindness was bloody hard).
Longest regularly played multiplayer game: Diablo 2

First arcade games played (at Rye, Mornington Peninsula): Tanks in a walled maze 1v1, Biplanes 1v1

I go through stages with Runescape.. haven't turned it on in about 3-4 years haha
 
So, turns out Nintendo sells re-created retro controllers for the Nintendo Switch - perfect for replaying Donkey Kong Country!

Given they just re-launched the Donkey Kong Land games on the Game Boy service (alongside the Super Nintendo service already featuring DKC 1, 2 and 3), I decided to buy a Super Nintendo controller and have another crack at 100%ing all 6 games. Finally finished DKC1 after 28 years.

I got my kids a couple of Game and Watch reproductions as stocking fillers because we found my old Donkey Kong Original one cleaning out some junk the other day and they where amazed... BTW I just looked online and they are selling for like $250 ... WTF?????

I'd like to see it but i doubt it as its not an official 2nd division with promotion and relegation

I don’t think so - maybe in FM (but I doubt it since no P/R to A-League)

Given it’s owned by the FA, I doubt it will be on EAFC or PES - neither the Socceroos or Matildas are on game (unless part of a tournament pack such as the World Cup or Asian Cup)
 
Fired up EA Sports DC 25 and it's just so rigid. I get the merit of each player having a tactic type but they don't even follow the instructions. Also, my defensive line is at a reasonable height and refuse to scramble back.

The sliders are tricky to adjust. It's either way too fast or slow. I generally start with League 1 clubs but perhaps taking in a Championship side will add that bit more attribute that allows for the swift type of play I prefer.

The players just come across as heavy and rigid. I think the game requires a lot of a processing power and my xbox may lag that little bit.
 
Stupidly don't have a save as Arthur on RDR2 so I went over to John again. Looks like I'll need to start a new game. Always enjoyable but there's so much to tick off and explore.

Fifa is heavily now focused on individual players and Ultimate team.

the last two seasons of Fifa (24 & 25) have been terrible.

i still purchase the games, i have been since Fifa 98, but play less and less.

Yep it's all about packets an unlocking players for money. It's purposely made worse in the hope that people switch to the paid version.

I’m lucky I did an EA subscription on PC (for a little over the price of 1 game, I can get the new Madden, F1, FIFA/FC and the WRC game + all DLCs and early access every year).

For the past few years, since ive done the above, I’ve probably played it on release for about a week, and then that’s it. Have only come back on for the World Cup/Euros expansions after that
