Yes very interesting points. It's going to be sad to see some players leave

Sign Up Now!That's football. Players come and go. Always disappointing to see a fan favourite leave but the following season there will inevitably be a new fan favourite. Unlike the AFL, we don't have the luxury of being the top league in the world. The best players are always going to go onto better opportunities.Yes very interesting points. Yes but if I understand it's only one marquee player allowed no loyalty incentives anymore so that's whole teams getting gutteredThat's football. Players come and go. If a player is valuable enough, then there is no need for loyalty incentives. Even the AFL lose players because they get better offers.Yes but if I understand it's only one marquee player allowed no loyalty incentives anymore so that's whole teams getting guttered
But isn't loyalty exemptions for players like grant that's been there forever? If a player is valuable enough, then there is no need for loyalty incentives. Even the AFL lose players because they get better offers.
Not really. It was added about 10 years ago. It's 10% salary exempt for any player that has been with the club for 5 consecutive seasons. Then an additional 10% exempt for every year after that with a cap of 50%. Not many players get to that 50% level. Right now Rhyan Grant would have 50% of his salary exempt. Not sure how many other players on 10 consecutive seasons, playing right now.But isn't loyalty exemptions for players like grant that's been there forever?
