Just seen on FIFA website The rest and release period for the FIFA World Cup 2026 will begin on Monday May 25th next year, with exceptions for players involved in the final matches of confederation club tournaments, as approved by FIFA, up to and including Saturday May 30th.

Also can now confirm that release period starts on Monday February 23rd for the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup as per FIFA website.

Something to factor in when Football Australia announces domestic match calendar into account.
