Managers in Japan are typically subject to a "respect" clause in their contracts enabling clubs to sack managers who don't show appropriate attitude to game situations.I can't imagine him going to Japan. That's like someone dressed as the devil walking into a church. They won't stand for that attitude in Japan for long.
To be honest, from what I see, it's more that the a lot of the fans remain too immature for it...The only sport I can recall that had a marked improvement on refereeing standards in my lifetime has been tennis when Jon McEnroe kept going ballistics at the chair umpiring. In reality VAR was meant to improve the refereeing standards but I think that the technology remains to immature for it.
But what has really hurt the game has been the directive to allow play to continue so where in seasons past a foul would be called they no longer are which has led to greater inconsistency by the referees.
