what do you mean in the shape of Israel?? That would make no sense. They are in the shape of the map of Palestine.

what I find pretty wild is that there seems to be so many people who apparently hold the belief that their lived experience could ever remotely get close to the everyday lives of these people in the Middle East over the past however many generations.

the everyday lives of these people are so far removed from ours, do we really think we understand enough to add to the noisey either?

Irvine wore a top that seems from a pretty legit grassroots organisation that started in 2015 and helps supports Palestinian people in extreme poverty. He didn't make a statement he simply invested into a good cause based on his moral compass. Nothing more or less.

And citing a spurious 'leaked' phone call as an indication of a country's legitimacy of sovereignty is hardly a gauge of someone's authority on the subject either.

I think this probably speaks to the idea of self determination. Does Israel have the right to self determination, a state of Israel. Does Palestine have the right to self determination. Or do both have that right, which is the two state solution.

I can see why wearing a Palestinian shirt with a map of Israel may be taken as a commentary that Israel does not have a right to self determination. I will say I'm no expert and I'm just trying to make sense of it, but I think that's where the criticism probably comes from. Is that anti-semetic? I wonder if Irvine was even aware.

Fwiw I think denying either Israelies or Palestinians self determination is pretty fucked up.

why do you say its 'spurious'?

no one has disputed its authenticity

the amount of circumstantial evidence that Ukraine was rolled by the USA is overwhelming... the phone call is just a simple smoking gun to satisfy the short attention spans of your ilk

But as I said originally, no amount of evidence will sway your conditioning, hence lost cause, and you're too far gone.

Not optimistic we get a 2 state solution in the forseeable future as much as i want it
