I don't think they realise they are repressed, they don't know life any other way - well the general pop.
I have a close business associate there - I was just with him few weeks ago for a conference in Cancun.
Talking generally he has a happy outlook it seems, we talk about football - he says its great, the young King is brilliant, openning up their country, infrastructure investment like mad, Malls here there everywhere.
Women having license's, allowed in shi sha bars nowadays, so I reckon they are enjoying the changes as long as you do nothing "wrong" haha
I was there not long ago "pre war" and last Dec, planning on being there early Dec again incl a industry show in Dubai.
We see it our way and I agree but they see it totally opposite that is not surprising.

yer I don't know why Mancini even considered taking the $$$'s, its not as if he was hard up for a buck before taking on the SA role.
He's been in some dark places since his pisano Vialli passed away but SA/ME is no place for an Italian in the first place :)

it beggers belief though the young King wgaf about crowds I suppose.
He's trying to build up international exposure regards to Saudi for tourism I gather.

I'm booking a biz trip there right now for early Dec, I'll suss out some people I know and ask about the game and why people not turning out matter of interest.
Heck I might be able to get a corporate seat if a game is on whilst there you think ? haha
Just checked their fixtures, games on Dec 6, I'm there Dec 3 - 9, I'll ask my Saudi biz mate to take me to a game.
