I wish Morrison were in the squad. I'd like to see how she goes. We need CB depth to push Kennedy and Hunt.

I think given her form in A-League Women Kayla Morrison would do well as a Matildas centre back but sadly we still have to wait for all the paperwork to go through before she's eligible.

Teagan Micah definitely the starting Matildas keeper going forwards especially since Mackenzie Arnold is conceding quite a few goals and has started to regress in recent times.

Well, Montemurro is obviously entering a honeymoon period with lavish praise from the media ( and some fans) for turning the Matildas around (?) in the two games that he’s been in charge . I hope that continues because they will turn on him savagely if we don’t win the Asian Cup. Just ask the man who guided Australia to the World Cup semifinals.

Teagan Micah definitely the starting Matildas keeper going forwards especially since Mackenzie Arnold is conceding quite a few goals and has started to regress in recent times.

Micah needs a club first though. I definitely prefer her over Arnold, but if she doesn't get regular game time at a good level, it puts the whole position in a bit of a precarious situation

Summer transfer window's currently open and all player contracts expire imminently so we could see Teagan Micah make a move elsewhere sooner or later.

I’ve seen about 40 mins in first half and the last 5 mins live. Forgot it was on!

The first 40 mins, along with the Socceroos’ first half against China, was the best recent proactive, possession football for national teams I’ve seen in recent times.

There were a lot of skilled bounce passes, first time passes, from players further advanced back to defenders, where they eventually played around Slovenia to progress forwards. The 1-1 performance was far better than the 3-0 fixture.

Both Winonah Heatley and Alanna Kennedy did well in those positions because they normally play as a centre back and in midfield respectively in club football, and Montemurro is just having them play international football in those positions also.

I thought football was a results driven game but seemingly a draw is much better than a win.
