Matildas vs Argentina

Better have a new coach in place by the time this happens. Also need to see a proper structure and some blooding of new players. Too many are currently just getting by on reputation.

The 23-player squad for the Argentina series has been named. Morgan Aquino gets a recall and Jada Whyman returns from injury, as does Amy Sayer from her ACL injury sustained in May last year. Izzy Gomez gets a callup and Kahli Johnson gets her first ever senior Matildas callup also. No Mackenzie Arnold due to a lower leg injury, whilst Tameka Yallop is out with a hamstring injury. Ellie Carpenter and Katrina Gorry have both been granted personal leave.

Teagan Micah has been let go by Liverpool and so is currently unattached to any club

Still no new coach. The FA have said June. They're talking about Joe Montemurro as a done deal but I haven't seen anything official nor heard anything from him.

Yeah, not sure what game the FA are playing at. It really needs to be sorted soon, but like libelous says, not exactly June yet. I just know the FA are going to drag this out. It's disappointing that we have gone so long without a proper world class coach.

Pre-game presentation for Sermanni is underway to acknowledge his 150th game as Matildas head coach. This game most likely his penultimate one at the helm before handing over to Montemurro as widely expected.

a couple of moments in buildup have been silly giveaways, I think Wheeler at fault for one

having said that the combination play in the final 3rd is probably the best I've seen from the Matildas

a bit right side dominant, would like to see some attacks come down the left
