I've looked at a few threads, and this might be the best place to bring this up.

I recruited Richie to the forum, who I've met off forum. We share a mutual interest in cricket. Riche recruited another cricket buff to the Cricket thread. Good on him. Then unbeknown to me, recruited JessieGirl, who I've rarely seen post.

I don't know all the details, but Richie was upset about the way Jessie Girl had been treated by forum regulars. Now Richie seems to have upped stumps too.

What has that got to do with me, think a lot of posters?

The cricket thread was building nicely. Richie, Grazor and it could be ODW, know a fair bit more about cricket than most of us. Riche was an active cricket poster , hence, creating traffic. He made a lot of interesting points too with a degree of cricket insight, like Grazor and ODW. Cricket thread was creating G and G traffic.

I think Richie created a Quiz/Riddle thread ( I have no interest) and was getting interested in the Matildas/Socceroos and starting to post.

I just can't emphasise enough if you love taking the piss out of people, most people are not thick-skinned. They leave forums.

We desperately need posters staying to create breadth of discussion. We desperately need to keep recruiting new posters, not losing them. I haven't really started in potential bookreader recruits yet, but none on another big forum engage in banter like on G and G.

If you want to stir people up, choose your targets wisely, who reciprocate. Otherwise there won't be a G and G forum - or only a very small one.

Conversely, some of the Anarchy members who post here love conflict! Whilst here for their short stints, in between bans, focus on Lupi, Vo2Max, Johnny Kasich - who love conflict! Their Anarchy frenemy, Frontliner - Front Up/Flying Bat/Jopara/etc - can't wait to get back here under yet another new multi to cause as much chaos as possible.

Is that the same JessiGirl who wanted "help" with a butterfly avatar and then somewhere someone magically did it for her/him and the n accused foramites of stalking her with direct messages despite Pasquali looking into it and assuring us there was no such thing????

If you walk into a party and start complaining about how people act, its fairly reasonable to assume you don't belong there... best your pals stay away if thats the sort of people they are mate....

Richie is an off forum pal, but JessieGirl isn't.

I don't know the details with the JG scenario, but surely you must see a need for recruitment for G and G to be viable, Mono?

Richie is a key member of the cricket thread. A big loss to G and G.

What makes you think he has left D? Looking at his posts, he last posted yesterday in the cricket thread. JessieGirl left a week or two ago from what I saw. And in relation to JG, I didn't see anything on here that suggested forumites treated her the wrong way.

Look a good mate of mine, who I've also met off forum, has said that he couldn't see anything untoward about the way G and G posters treated JG, and I respect his judgement.

Essentially, unless out and out trolls, I don't like losing posters to G and G - hence traffic and ultimately the viability of G and G forum. I've never been on one forum that has so many areas of interest for me. From time to time I get caught up in off forum life, and I'm away for a week or so from G and G.

Are you sure Richie posted yesterday? I might have missed it.

We've had a big test in the WI overnight, and it is unlike him not to have responded the next morning.

I can't text him, because he has a weird phone plan.

If JG causes Richie to leave is my issue. Richie tends to be a pretty respectful poster and has recruited people who have shared values in the past.

And on another note, I don't really like seeing any posters leave. I'd like to think that the vast majority of G and G posters treat posters respectfully.

Are you keen to see the growth and viability of G and G, Keeper?
 
Whilst on this topic of recruitment, who has actively tried to recruit AL or NPL fans to this forum?

Outside South Melb fans ( thanks Mono) who appear to be well represented.

FFS, it sounds like you don't even know if he has left! He last posted only just over 24 hours ago. And you have obviously been told multiple times that there is no evidence that JG was treated poorly, apart from whatever your mate Richie said.

Extrapolating a single issue about JG leaving the forum into a major issue about forum viability seems a bit of a stretch to me at this point.

I don’t think he has posted about WIndies cricket yet though! He is a cricket tragic too.

I looked a few mins ago. No responses to my last post. I have a relative by marriage in Aus cricket Test team.

A few posters communicate regularly by G and G Message too.

Gees, you know what people are doing on G and G, Keeper! Are you a PI?

I joined ccm forum and will join others to see if any want to join. I found some old mods.palasidious is on reddit and stifflers mum is in ccm forum!
Wish we could find joffa
