NPL 2025

Part of me can understand the worry of negative reactions/publicity at the slightest issue given everyone is looking for reasons to attack the second tier, but does this actually solve the issue or just move it to another venue? If there is credible proof of any possible issues ban away fans! Simple as that... i assume bergers will now demand the exact same for reverse fixture!

@est47
Heard anything about PLFC requesting that the upcoming game away vs Heidelberg be moved to home of the matildas for "safety" purposes??
Lol mate

It's 100% and has been going on for ages

Also wasnt us that requested it lol. Its been the Berger's doing all the talking since the fixtures came out

- we can't organise the security
- oh it's too much for us

Absolute shambles of a club and an organisation.

Whats with the Australian Mentality, "let's move the venue" "let's play the game behind closed doors" cause there might be trouble.

FFS can't organise proper security measures for a few hundred people.

I heard initially heidelberg v preston was going to be moved to a Sunday day game.

If its going to be behind closed doors it may as well remain at heidelberg.

If they are allowing a crowd, the home of matildas makes even less sense. One entry point and much smaller capacity.

Anything Heidelberg pays in security costs would easily by covered by the huge crowd. Put Preston fans on the far side of the ground and access via the Northland entry, whilst heidelberg keeps the main entry and the grandstand, its not rocket science.

Terrible look here.

How are Preston gonna cope in the championship on the national level if they can’t even organise security at NPL level 😉

Who knows at this point, seemed fine vs South a minor issue but that was dealt with pretty quickly. Can't imagine there would be the same amount or more trouble vs Berger's considering they have less fans... Just seems like a bit of a cock up...
