NPL 2025

I'm the first to praise how things are going at Preston and want the Championship and a pyramid more than anyone. But goddamn, comparisons like these are just daft, especially from a bandwagoner. Where's he been all these years? Speaking like this crowd is every Friday night.

Enjoy the heights for what it is, as someone else here mentioned earlier. But if you get into bullshit comparisons then you're inviting bullshit arguments and shit slinging. Like, making a comparison with the highest attended NPL match in how many years, which is just an average number for A-League... come on. Would we compare an A-League Sydney derby to a dud NPL crowd? Just stupid stuff. Do we really want to go back and compare Friday night crowds from every week for the previous 20 seasons? How's that going to turn out do they think?

I get the excitement. I'm pumped. But some people need to engage their brain and stop talking crap. Pump up the NPL, pump up the Championship, pump up Preston, but using this as a swipe at A-League, moronic. Not the first occurence from this guy. Is every A-League match meant to be pumping? Is every NPL match pumping??

One good thing to take from all this is holding Preston up as the inspiration or benchmark, but not just for the A-League, for all Australian football.

One day, maybe we'll lift each other up for the greater good of the game here.

It’s comical.

Olan is an A-grade leech, he pretty much just farms a trending topic and baits engagement comments. I have mutuals with the bloke, he was also very upset that the media company who worked with A-league got the boot because he was apart of that. That media company should of only done the ‘All Access’ and thats it instead of providing these leeches to a platform.

His logic would be mean most of the Greek, Turkish, Croatian, Serbian and Mexican league must be careful! Sydney FC is coming!

The match should be celebrated and wake up the FFA to start the seeds of an overall mandatory pyramid however
the Preston-South crowd would’ve been the 46th highest crowd of the A-League season.

first I even saw or heard of the bloke I just thought it was funny but he seems a doosh bag especially how he went on and obviously had a agenda.

Bottle this and distribute it across the country. You won't find a better advertisement for an Australian football club. I could not love what this club does any more. What an inspiration.

It's funny, Victory were created for all Victorians, all clubs' fans to come together. And now, Victory/City and non football fans are flocking to Preston because this club gets it. Some A-League clubs have really lost themselves over the years. Some still very much have it, like Adelaide. But geez, the rest really need a slap.

Brings such a smile to my face, just luv the passion from the ol clubs this is roots football I grew up with.
Onya Lions great work the last numbers of years getting back up and giving NPL a massive injection it needs.
Timing is perfect.
LOL the guy on his 5th shot !

Dont know about NPL north of the border, but down here we are spoilt for culinary choice!... the boiled "snags" are part of AFL diet along with the meat pies "you betcha"!
Like any league depends which ones you attend, up north I've even enjoyed the quality cervapis's at PL3 level many a time.
Head to SO just as good, SU58, The Palace many others its no afl/nrl low standard nor allianz rip off general deep fried rubbish its bring on the food bant and game.

Spirit 5 from 5.
A few draws this week.

We lost 3-0 at home to the worst side in the league CCM youth. Simply not good enough, and we are getting worse every week.
Yes its early, but our season is done.
Ante Juric, you simply cannot coach two teams at once.

yer I saw the result thought WTF bad.
Spirit have set up a very good start for the season, lets see how they hold on.
Thanks christ APIA bounced back with a win.
SO Stallions shared the spoils.

The most pro A League people may very well be from Adelaide. And that is because they have the perfect set up.

They 'were' a former NSL club, so officially not part of the 'New Dawn'
The ground has to be the best in the league
Probably the right population for a one team town in a closed league

But this is at the detriment of the lower levels. I have seen Greek Adelaidians who think that this NSD is no good. But perhaps they are viewing it from the perspective of what happened in Adelaide from about 1995 onwards. Both clubs (Adelaide City and West Adelaide) WERE poster boys for the NSL with their derbies, but even they could not survive as 'mono-ethnic' entities.

yes we had 6 or 7 players out, but still, not good enough.

We have spirit this week. Good luck with that.
