NPL 2025

People dont realise how small the venues are that some of these teams play at, take dandy and humes crowds and put them in the enormous main grandstands of South and Knights and it will look empty.

Wouldnt call last night a big crowd either, 1000-1200 for top of the table clash. 90% of that crowd are within walking distance of the ground.

South got 4k+ to 2 Australia cup ties last season, the reality is dandy and humes venues dont fit that much.

Will probably change now that they're doing well but southofyarra is right dandy city have probably had bigger crowds than Thunder last few years.

FT: Sydney United 1-2 Marconi

Stephen Lucas is not fit to be a referee, one of the worst referring performances I have ever witnessed.

this was called offside, & two clear shouts for handball in the box.

You can almost hear the home fans groaning when Cannons score, thats how many fans they have .... not

Do you know how the mighty championship works? South have already qualified, Bergers and Cannons will probably be in contention for qualification. However I doubt FV's golden boys (Cannons) are keen to compete...
I don't think it was a serious suggestion mate.. Just a plastic redditor trying his/her hand at proper football banter.... nice try in a way I suppose...

I still feel like South can draw in a crowd on their day, Melbourne culture and suburb sprawl helps.

Olympic on the other hand, they heavily advertised their games at Kogarah last year, signs everywhere in my area for months before but the attendance was poor. It's just not a hit with the community and probably within their own inner one as well.

It always seemed like something internal that fucked everyone off. The photos of their latest AGM kind of summed up it up, average age probably 80+.
Olympic future looks bleak no home to call their own, the Greek community in Sydney really doesn’t turn up for them at all which is pretty disappointing to see

hahahah Dandy and Hume? Don't get me wrong Hume started to attract bigger crowds then what they are used to (South did play them 5-6 times last season?) last season and Dandy are on a bit of a roll at the moment but lets not put them in the same convocation as South OR Preston. Its good to see that some of the Hume fans did stick around from lasts season, well maybe those who didn't get banned...

edit: I would even argue that the past few seasons Dandy CITY have been getting attendances than Thunder, they have a tidy ground and always seem to have some decent away support.
Dandy Thunder and hume both get better attendance than south. Dandy city dont.

Dandy city away support is terrible. Thunder are usually the best supported away team away at Altona but that will be beaten by Preston this year. Good home support as well overall easy top 3 or 5 minimum. NGC are IMO the best supported Cro team.

Thunder sometimes provided multiple Albanian weddings arent on. They can tail off pretty badly though. This season so far yes they will have us covered.

Hume dont, that p1ssy little stand they have barely fits more than Souths vip section. At least with Thunder people are along the fence all around the ground.
