Sydney FC 2 v Wollongong Wolves 2 at Ilinden Sports Centre – Match Report and Highlights

Sydney FC and Wollongong Wolves have played out a dramatic 2-2 draw to begin the round at Rockdale Ilinden Sports Centre on Good Friday.

It was the home side who made the better start, as Alen Harbas netted a sensational freekick, before setting up Marin France who doubled the Sky Blues’ lead.

However, the Wolves made a comeback in the second half, with a Nicholas Olsen penalty and a late Liam Ball equaliser, off a goalkeeping error, seeing both sides leave with a point.

Manly United 1 v APIA Leichhardt FC 2 at Cromer Park – Match Report and Highlights

APIA Leichhardt FC recorded its fourth win from their last five games with a dominant 2-1 victory over Manly United at Cromer Park in their Round 11 clash.

Presley Ortiz scored a scorching header just before the halftime break, then in the 59th minute, Seiya Kambayashi ran almost half the field to score, as both stars returned to their old stomping ground in style securing a good win for APIA.

Sutherland Sharks 0 v St George City 3 at Seymour Shaw – Match Report and Highlights

St George City crushed Sutherland Sharks’ homecoming party at Seymour Shaw with a well-deserved 3-0 victory on a sunny Saturday afternoon adding further pressure to the hosts following a string of recent poor results.

The Sharks found themselves behind very early on when Marc McNulty nonchalantly flicked home at the near post before thundering home his second of the afternoon near the half-time break.

Jesse Photi, a second-half replacement, sealed the victory with a late stoppage time goal to ensure a resounding win on the road.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers 2 v Blacktown City 3 at Popondetta Park – Match Report and Highlights

Tempers flared at Popondetta Park as Blacktown City secured a 3-2 win over crosstown rivals Mt Druitt Town Rangers.

Although Mt Druitt scored first from a Caleb Jackson-Brown goal, Blacktown’s Mitchell Mallia scored a first half brace to give the visitors a 2-1 lead at the break.

Mt Druitt once again struck first to level the scores in the second half through Theph Theph, but it was Blacktown’s Lachlan Campbell who snatched back the lead for the 3-2 win.

Sydney Olympic 3 v NWS Spirit FC 0 at Belmore Sports Ground – Match Report and Highlights

Sydney Olympic put forth a dominant display as they defeated NWS Spirit FC 3-0 at Belmore Sports Ground on the eve of Easter.

The Blues were spurred to victory by goals from Michael Vakis, Cyrus Dehmie and Teng Kuol as they capped off a great performance that will no doubt put the rest of the league on notice.

A Patrick Antelmi inspired Sydney United 58 FC took out an enthralling National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW round 11 contest against St George FC 4-2 at Barton Park.

Reduced to ten men late in the first half following a red to Carlos De Oliveira, the visitors found another gear, down a man, with Antelmi taking the plaudits scoring a hat-trick after Leroy Jennings opened their account earlier. St George FC earlier scored two goals in as many minutes midway through the first half with Bai Antoniou notching a memorable goal on what was a forgettable night for the hosts.

Marconi 3 v Central Coast Mariners 0 at Marconi Stadium – Match Report and Highlights

The Marconi Stallions delivered a quintessentially classy performance as they solidified their place at the top of the ladder via a 3-0 win over the last-placed Central Coast Mariners.

Good win by our boys after getting a red card in the 30th min. Played better with 10 men than 11.

my gut feel is that spirit will slowly die off. Still in a good position to finish in the top 6.

good to see the academy sides get pumped. hope 2 of the 3 get relegated.

I dont know anything about this, what is the context? If indeed the club has de-registered lifetime members in order to make some sort of power play against the board than that is obviously garbage but if its just a bunch of tired old right wing nut jobs howling at the moon because the coach is Albanian and none of the players have enough vowels int their surnames then gtfoh.
I have no idea either. I just automatically assumed the author is a nut job (just look at his facebook posts!).

But, Olympic is a very dubious club at the moment, what with every club president getting into legal and financial trouble.

I would not put it past some people trying to do some dirty shit.

Where will Olympic call home next year? looks like they've been booted out of Belmore.
