NPL 2025

Although, I will specifically do this one as a second post: Vince has published Capital Football’s letter to Yoogali Soccer Club informing them of the review’s decision

Tough game against a tough team.

Yokokawa and lesiotis are ballers. Not to mention the front 3.

We had a couple chances in the first half but they managed the game very well in the second half.

Whata game between Rockdale and Marconi gutsy win to hold on for 30 mins down a man great crowd best reminded me of a npl victory game
Entertaining match, plenty of passion in the stands which is always good to see, plenty of back and forth between the two sets of fans. At times seeming like it was about to boil over, security/police stepping in an couple of times. Bit of feeling between the two clubs with a few noteworthy matches in the last few years. Would have been atleast a couple thousand there, both sides well represented as you’d hope from a top of the table clash on a long weekend. credit where it’s due, strong away support from ilinden barely stopped singing all game.

Rockdale obviously a strong team but not a great performance from Marconi imo. Barely a clear shot on target all game. Title race well and truly back on.

Side note; hope Rockdale get a look in for the championship now that they’re allegedly opening it up again, would certainly add something to the league, the more local rivalries the better to draw interest. (Although I dare say it would have been bonnyrigg that would have been part of the conversation if this process had been going on 10 years ago before they dropped off) Atm Rockdale in the box seat to get a home and away fixture v Preston, most notably Preston’s home opener, Macedonian derby could be some occasion.

I can say the club wants to compete in it this year and they definitely have the squad and quality to compete in it but definitely was a top game

Couple of photos for those who’ve not been, what a club

Can't wait to see the old girl again :)...

Especially that Pizza oven ... wowsers :)
The whole club is currently being renovated/upgraded in stages, football facilities included. food and beverage offerings have also been refreshed, expanded and improved, the place looks great, best it has in years. Very easy to complain when things aren’t the way we want, but credit where it’s due, quite happy with the direction the club has been heading last few years. Respecting the history but also keeping up with modern standards
