race for promotion is heating up in NPL2

I still don't get how we only have 1.5 pro/rel spots in a 16 team competition. Football NSW are a joke.

I'm guessing FNSW went to the UEFA school of playoffs.

But, at least it's not going from 2x 8 team competitions with 1 up/1 down already, to 2x 10 team competitions with a possible .5 pro/rel spot, being championed as a 'win for Promotion/Relegation after seeing the success of the current system' (paraphrased)

To be honest it DID give the second half of the season (and still will) ALOT more interest than other years.... 3 down, 3 up is brutal though.

NPL VIC top 5 pretty much locked in. Only 6th spot is realistically in play. Only Dandenong City and to a lesser extent Green Gully can make finals from 6th and 7th spot respectively. Same can be said for the bottom three. If bottom 3 lose this week, Altona Magic is pretty much safe.

Shouldve happened earlier perhaps or a more ideal solution for the fight that they knew they were in! Now it will go one of 2 ways either it hits their pride and they put everything into.an immediate return or they struggle for years to come!

cant be worse than when clubs and juniors used to travel to bathurst once a year.

Sydney to Bathurst is about 2.5 hours - which is about the same as Canberra to Wagga. Yet, Wagga still kicked out.

Fuck Bathurst they were a basketcase when they were in the NSW comp. They got 3/4th's of their games at home, got protected from relegation 2 or 3 years in a row and were notorious for shitty decisions when they played at home because they would have local refs
