lest start by fielding a reserves side in the NPL first... Monday was U15s at best.I can take reserves in NPL but we HAVE to field a competitive side in the FA Cup at least...
What have we become??? Whoring ourselves out to any league willing to take us ... whats next we gonna accept the invite from APL? Fark that. That surely cant be a serious quote by Nick.
Has anyone checked to see if we've entered eurovision as well?
I think the best solution is to franchise our name out to a couple of new entities ...NPL VIC --- Early Feb to Late Aug
NPL VIC FINALS SERIES --- Late Aug to Sept
FFA CUP --- Early Feb to Late Sept
NSD --- October to ?
OFC Pro League --- January to May
Can someone draft up a timeline, how are we going to operate a squad that needs the depth of 4 comps when we can't even create enough depth for one comp?
Ive finally made the connection. That surely cant be a serious quote by Nick.

Give me an nbl team and i'll be on board. The 2 current nbl franchises in Melbourne have been holding back Basketball for far too long!
We should also explore entering the big bash league with how pathetic the melbourne stars and renegades have been.
Forget the world game, bball and cricket is where its at!
Yeah I suggest we will field u23 in NPL moving forward if all this does go ahead... what strange times we are living in.Focus on NSD and OFC Pro league, bin off the NPL.
FFA Cup is the bonus.
You can't blame them can you.It feels like the club is just desperate to get out of the npl at all costs, or at least get the senior team out of it.
Me 100%I dont blame them.
Im just not sure how you trully grow your brand in an oceania league. Whose turning up to Lakeside to watch South play some team from Tahiti?
You play your best wherever the most money is at the end of the day!!! If clubs are getting big $$$ in that comp why would i not play reserves in the NPL?Nick better be fuckin joking....
"We'll treat the Australian comps and the NPL virtually as our reserves, and play our strongest possible team in the (OFC) competition."
Who is turning up to watch South play a team from the Moreland? I get what ur saying tho, regarding the "growing brand" thing, it is a FIFA tournament on the wikipedia article it mentions a possible invite to the FIFA Club World Cup...I dont blame them.
