In addition to his fitness issues Moller doesnt appear to be a pressing or chasing forward, he looks tidy with the ball at his feet but we dont play that style where you can play it into him and he dishes it off, do you ever see us play a 1-2 for eg? That said his presence still helps us more structurally compared to Brennan up front on his own. Considering we just boot the ball long no longer having the Sawyer/Riak equivalent is killing us.

Aside from Harding missing an absolute sitter against the run of play, we didnt look likely in the 2nd half, look at our bench, apart from Mells that came on the rest arent really npl standard. Brennan is not a 90 minute player these days, Moller cant run out a game and im not sure what business Harding has on the field (shocking signing)

If you offered me 10th place now i'd probably take it. Realistically we need to probably be 2 goals up at HT to have a chance of winning because i cant see our 2nd halves going well for us this year.

I hate Estebans style of play and his inability to adapt to a lineup that no longer has the forward required to play his style, but the club should be embarassed with itself with what they did in the off season.
 
Brennan is only at the club for one reason. We all know why and if I speak I am in big trouble.
Never understood with his so called reputation he gets a free pass from supporters. He isn't up to it and hasn't been for a while. This club flushed Jai Ingham to the state leagues no problem, he wasn't up to it at all. But Andy because we all know and I can't say it - gets a free pass

Brennan is on like his 4th stint at the club, why is he still there? I think you're being a bit harsh, he is a very handy player to bring on with 20-30 to go but our lack of depth means he has to go an hour or so from the start which isnt ideal. Plus he did score.
 
I think the truth is somewhere in the middle, Brennan is a quality sub to have and depth squad player! Handy to close off a game especially if he is implementing a specific role.. he is exactly what you want off the bench no stamina for more than 45 minutes at most, surley not a player for 90'!

Exactly that regarding last season, he has a history of not seeing out 90 when he starts or coming on to add some movement/holding.. not always successfully to be fair! I dont think its a matter of fitness in this case alone, its more a decline in last couple of years especially at 32 it wont get any better than what we get out of him.. knows the club though and has experience and that serves its own limited purpose.. like i said for squad depth/bench at best now.

Thats a very sad take on things if you believe Andy being gay has anything to do with him as a player or a person.....

There is no such thing as a "free pass" from supporters, the bloke plays for the shirt and his teammates... everything else is irrelevant.

Yeah I agree regarding looking unconditioned... The game was actually well fought out by both squads... Esteban must have had a grilling during the week becuase the lads played very very very simple football.. stepped on the ball, played through, not too fast, created patient buildup and applied good pressure.. We kept a swashbuckling Hume quiet for 60 odd minutes, very impressive compared to the past 3-4 weeks... It took an Isgrove thunderbastard to get them back into the game (and what a goal it was ... beautiful stuff) ... Ill gvie the boys a 7/10 - Pope had a great match, as did Max (again) Harding played a few beautiful balls in but those aroudn me wherent as impressed by him as I was... lest see what a weeks rest can do now...

Anyway, Karetsas is shaping up to be a serious young talent - 17 years old and scoring bangers... plenty of hope for the future.
