Official South Melbourne Hellas thread 🔵⚪

Yes, but there comes a point where it starts being disrespectful and derails conversation. It’s a 30 day ban anyway not a full one and only this thread.
Fair enough mate, su casa, su rules....

Personally I dont care one way or the other, the bloke is obviously either bucket boy or one of his cronies.... hating on Hellas is the ultimate compliment in my eyes.

Dam, i enjoyed his banter haha, bring back sthforrel 😛

Didn't get to watch the game as I'm away, was it a good game?
Forgot to mention there was a great showing from the Oakleigh faithful last night... must be because of the form you are in? I counted at least 22 people celebrating your penalties... not counting the players or the bench either... very impressive.

Calling it, some Maso that hasn't been there since he was 12 & thinks people care about border disputes 10,000ks away 😂

closed 2014, had a coffee and cake there the weel before it closed lol
... yeah but it had been dying for 5-6 years by then, was even a souvlaki joint at one stage..... once the barakia died Medallions was never the same..... what shame, still remember going with the family on Sundays for an ice cream spider (always lime or blue heaven) and a tiropita before going to Middle Park for the match :)

Another fond memory the morning Greece beat France in 2004 the place was overflowing, easy 1500 in a place licensed for 200.... every screen kept showing Charisteas goal over and over again on loop and EVERY single time we cheered like it had just happened, stayed there for at least 6 hours that day ..... magic.

Todays generation will never understand, Lonsdale st was also a popular meeting point for South supporters before heading to middle park or the original bob jane in the nsl days. When i was a kid SBS would frequently film at Lonsdale because pretty much all the shop owners and customers were Hellas supporters. Thats before you even get into the night life of lonsdale/russell st. 2004 Euros was a fitting farewell.

That shithole Oakleigh will never compare.

Hahahaha it was probably the players/staff family members 😛

Atleast our numbers are growing! If we win a few more championships, maybe we'll pull crowd numbers like Melbourne city haha.

Oakleigh is just easier for us that live out in the south east. Maybe back in the 90s it was awesome going to medallion, i even have memories going there too, but with the amount of traffic on the road these days and the parking situation, I'd rather go to Oakleigh than venture out to the city.

If you live out in the sticks (west suburbs) or in skidrow/Compton (north suburbs) then i feel sorry for you 😜

My suburb has 4 souvlaki joints and Greek cafes/cake shops/grocery stores in every surrounding suburb. No need to go to the soon to be little beijing/mumbai for a Greek fix lol.

Ah is that the suburb that's been overtaken by colourful haired people with their soy latte and tofu bean vegan burgers and souvlakis? Won't be long before you're coming down to oakleigh for authentic Greek food 😛

Not that suburb but not far, but hey at least they're colourful and we still have the Italians here as well😛

Oakleigh is to Greek food what lygon now is to Italian. Tourist trap food, once that first Chinese place opens in the mall its curtains😂
