When does the transfer window officially open? When can these signings start playing with us?

We need to also keep an eye on Altona Magic as well. The aim should be to finish above Altona Magic and St Albans. That would make for a far more relaxed ending to the season.

I am assuming there was no hard questions asked to Maikousis and the attendance was poor tonight.
To dispell the bullshit, let's address it.

The not paying players. Most South payments are structured every 4 games, this is consistent with most NPL/Victorian clubs. Marquee players likely have different structures. South were late in paying the first two-three sets of player payments - this was the basis for the rumours that 3XY reported on. This included money owed to Esteban, who at the time of his sacking was owed significant wages. Esteban did not resign, the club attempted to force a resignation since he was owed money at the time the club wanted to avoid paying.

In terms of players walking out, there will be several departures come end of season. The players are bound by the terms in their contract, and this impacts on them walking out. There have been dramas and incidents but some has been smoothed over somewhat last few weeks. Watch the space here, defeat to St Albans could lead to serious tension given the bad run home for us.

The topic of IOU's. The board is most angry about this aspect being spoken about on here. They have refused to produce any paperwork at AGM's on this matter but the reality is there is secret paperwork of these IOU's behind the scenes. An external audit of the club would identify this but they will never show their books to anyone, let alone to paid members at AGM's which they should do. Oh and when is the AGM for this year, hmmmm. This means that the club is held hostage to this tyrannical board, and when they produce the IOU paperwork, the club likely would be trading insolvent.

As for players coming in, don't be thrilled. We have no money to pay for anyone of note since we can barely afford to pay those we already have. Beat St Albans and we survive. Lose and the nails begin to be chewed very fine.

The board you get on your knees for sit in their ivory towers and laugh at your blind faith.

What is it any of them have done that is so great for the club.

Maikousis reign as president will be remembered as a failure and the destruction of this club. Of how he enabled Oakleigh to win 3 titles, a club that should have no relevance being talked about amongst the best sides in Victoria.

Bill Papa, a Heidelberg fan, a supporter of our rivals chairing the board of this club. A man who cares more about his own personal brand than South Melbourne, a man who has sold out the Greek community that he claims he represents. Why is his son playing in the 23s, the second highest male team we have at the club was he cut from a state one reserves side. Then again Mesourounis son has been given a third stint at the club. Even the kid himself knows his out of his depth, yet daddy promises his son a spot.

Maikousis daughter might be a good operator but she’s only at the club because of daddy. And his nephew, parachuted into the role of assistant coach having never coached juniors. Even found himself at the reigns for two matches this season, it’s like handing the keys of a Lambo to a 5 year old.

Are you also happy with Kokotis the football director. Another paid board position, another individual with zero coaching experience. How exactly has the men’s program improved since he took over, bottom half of the table …

This board treat the club as their Kafeneio and punching bag. They bring in all their family members, give them jobs. All while the club languishes and does terribly. The junior program once championed by the club now is a shell of itself, with only one side qualifying for division 1. They did something ok though today, Strati is a good appointment but his strength lies in juniors as a TD not this corporatised, ineffective role they’ve given him.

The clubs facilities are a joke. The premier Lakeside stadium, the envy of the league with a catering situation so embarrassing that state 5 and church league clubs run canteens better than us. This lot couldn’t even design the social club properly to cope with things the odd time it does get busy. Let alone juniors and the seniors occasionally train at the cow paddock that is Albert Park Field 18 and 19, with more potholes then Princess Highway.

And you lot want to laugh and mock the situation. Maybe Mike can comment on every point I put up - he himself is complicit in the destruction of South, sitting idle like an obeyant puppet dog.


The clubs been run so badly into the ground but keep mocking what I say. You put your faith in clowns.

Pretty sure not one of us has praised the board or put our heads in the sand mind you, but whatever you say champ!
