Basically, Maikoussis making some vague statements about things needing to change

Ένα τεράστιο μαύρο σύννεφο έχει μαζευτεί πάνω από το Lakeside Stadium, την έδρα της ιστορικής Ελλάς. Η τελευταία εντός έδρας ήττα της ομάδας εναντίον της Dandenong City μοιάζει να είναι καταστροφική. Η South Melbourne βρίσκεται πλέον στην ζώνη του υποβιβασμού, έχοντας ξεκινήσει την σεζόν με τον χειρότερο δυνατό τρόπο.

Επικοινωνήσαμε με τον πρόεδρο του συλλόγου, κ. Νικόλα Μαϊκούση, σχετικά με τις εμφανίσεις της αγαπημένης του ομάδας. Δεν θέλησε να πει πολλά, αλλά τα λίγα που είπε ήταν αρκετά ώστε να πάρουμε μια γεύση από την ατμόσφαιρα που επικρατεί στο εσωτερικό του κλαμπ αλλά και τι μπορούμε να περιμένουμε στο άμεσο μέλλον.

«Η εικόνα που παρουσιάζουμε από το ξεκίνημα της σεζόν είναι απαράδεκτη. Πρέπει να την αλλάξουμε επειγόντως. Αυτή η κατάσταση δεν μπορεί να συνεχιστεί».

Το σύνολο του Esteban Quintas αντιμετωπίζει πολλά και συχνά προβλήματα τραυματισμών και αυτό είναι κάτι που αν και το αναγνωρίζει ο κ.Μαικούσης, δεν μπορεί να εκληφθεί ως δικαιολογία για την κάκιστη πορεία της ομάδας.
«Αντιμετωπίζουμε πολλά προβλήματα τραυματισμών. Το βράδυ της Δευτέρας μείναμε δίχως κεντρικό επιθετικό. Αυτό το γεγονός όμως δεν σημαίνει ότι η αλλαγή στην εικόνα μας δεν είναι επιβεβλημένη».

Μια μικρή αλλαγή στην απόδοση της ομάδας δεν θα είναι όμως αρκετή για να βγάλει την Ελλάς από τη δύσκολη θέση που έχει βρεθεί.

«Η αλλαγή στην απόδοσή μας πρέπει να είναι μεγάλη αλλά και άμεση. Από την επόμενη αγωνιστική εναντίον της Altona Magic. Δεν υπάρχουν άλλα περιθώρια».

Η Altona δεν τρομάζει, αλλά με την απόδοση της Ελλάς σε αυτές τις πρώτες οκτώ αγωνιστικές, ποιος μπορεί να νιώθει σίγουρος για την επικράτηση της ελληνοαυστραλιανής ομάδας;
 
In response to neos kosmos article. If anything we have the least amount of injuries of any team in the league. Other teams have as many as 5-6 starting 11 players out but have built squads to cover for that. You cant say injuries are no excuse and then go on about Moller coming off.

I want someone from the club to explain why we signed Messourouni, Dovidson, Durso, Skapoulis etc. These players are not npl standard. The question also needs to be asked on how on earth Moller was on the radar.

Our midfield got massacred and our players had nothing left in the tank in the 2nd half because supercoach made no changes.

The vultures are circling ...... Did Neos Kosmos sack all the Greek writers btw, my daughter is in Year 8 and makes less grammatical and spelling mistakes than this shite...

Lets see what this actually means before storming the gates....

I think Durso might have the scope to be a decent player.. He is young and fast and not afraid to take a man on .....

12th, -5 GD and 1 point in the last 5 matches ... their ARE no more chances... Esteban is a passionate bloke, got us top 2 finish and GF for 3 seasons in a row ... for whatever reasons (see angry posts above) the wheels have fallen off and its time to go.... Losing to Magic and THEN doing something is too late.....

Exactly right.. one trick pony... and that one trick doesnt work now that EVERYONE and his dog has seen it.

Another puff pastry post by Maikousis. Absolute Fraud. Where is any accountability from this current board. Leo became the fall guy for Andrew Mesourounis decision to axe Chris Taylor that blew up in our faces. The rest of them still kept their positions.

The junior and senior programs endured much better sucess under Leo then what they have with Nick Maik. Nobody cares who finishes top, its who wins the finals. One miserly Dockerty Cup in 7 years. Pathetic. Two championships and nearly all junior sides were winning their age groups when Leo was there. Compare that to now.

Preston embrace their background. South sit there, scared and condemn the HFC or what exists of it now whenever they show their faces every solar eclipse. The south fans are part of the problem, everyone sat there timid and didn't even chant at either Preston game. Lift farken
