JA isn’t confident Heidelberg will give him the backing at Heidelberg to get the title winning team he wants. There’s a few issues with the board there. He won’t be at Heidelberg long term.

Leo, Despina Donato and Strati leaving South started the slow decline into abyss. People don’t realise how in the mud South are. No longer the destination club for Juniors surpassed by Malvern and Bulleen whilst the senior program goes to the shite. Title winning teams take years to build, we have the bones in defence and in goal for one but the board decide to supplement that by having pure trash in front of them.

Thats as much on Esteban, you cant really recruit for him as his system doesnt allow for playmakers/ball players.

The ONE good thing about Friday's performance was the first half.

It showed that our squad has the ability to quickly revert to a more conventional style. I was petrified that they would continue with the Esteban style because it was so ingrained into them.

However, the last 30 minutes was the same dire stuff we have been getting lately.

Hopefully, that first 45 minutes is something to build on.

It's nice to have a forum where we can talk about npl and so. I sort of have ties to South Melbourne via family, so have always respected them, but as i played and grew up in oakleigh, they'll always have my heart, plus i love the banter/rivalry between south and Oakleigh, even though it's probably not a very big one, still enjoyable to see oakleigh play South.

I wish South well when they play in that new league soon.

BTW any truth to the rumours that Oakleigh is putting in a RFP for the Championship?

Club contacted Katsakis and JA. They both said no. Jonny A isn’t 100% content at Heidelberg but we are no chance.

Fausto reinterviewed again on Friday. Here’s where I heard some absolute crazy news. We have put 180K on the table for the senior coaching gig. Yep, after paying pesos for Esteban they are now slapping that money on the table to try and entice someone in. They must be reading my posts.

Second bit of news. Co coaches ala what Kingston or Northcote do or have done in the past. Yep, this isn’t a joke.

Our 2nd halves this season have been State league 4 worthy.

No idea wtf went on in pre season but in all our games we've only been behind once at HT. How we become so uncompetive after the break is baffling, especially after the 60 minute mark.

Thank you. I would of appeared alot sooner to bask in the tears of South supporters, but it appears the old forums got deleted or something? had no clue this forum existed.

I have no idea, I'll ask around see what i can find out. Based on what i heard month's ago, I'd say it's all just rumours.

Personally I've always been a nikos man myself hehe. We might be known as choakleigh, but certainly hasn't been the case for the past few years.

Being in Brisbane, I don’t have any link to SMH but occasionally peruse this thread just for info and see what’s happening in other areas. I’ve got to say it’s good to see some good-natured banter in here.
