is the figure they got for Sawyer known ?
Matter of interest.
Or is this whole transfer deal just that screwed and get SFA.
 
It’s over.

It is only a matter of time before our relegation is mathematically confirmed.

I don’t want to hear that we were better on the second half against Port. The only reason that happened was because Port just sat back and defended a 2-0 scoreline. We don’t have any players good enough to score and the young kids brought in are not even VPL standard.

Where was the preseason recruitment? Why did we not sign a decent replacement for Sawyer? Why did we not look to bring in some quality in the starting eleven?

I do not want to hear about NSD and OFC Pro league nonsense.
 
You dont have to worry about hearing of the nsd and oceania. The club has gone to ground, they wont even give interviews with the Greek media anymore.

Lesson here is if you're going to run your mouth and talk up a big game you better back it up.

The thing that sucks most is these suits probably dont care, its the supporters that cop the ridicule for their actions.

I said this a few weeks ago and i stand by it, the club should be stripped of its participation in the nsd in October.

In all honestly FUCK the Greek media.... they are just there to kick us when we are down anyway.... Let them spend their time camped down at Eaton mall talking to the unemployed/able.

The balcony bozos dont care about you or I mate, I was willing to cut them some slack but hearing the laughing and giggles while they stuffed their faces with drinks and snacks last night, its clearly obvious.. They think (sadly mistaken) that a new generation of fans will magically appear when they are granted that bullshit mythical Aleague license they STILL dream about...... suckers..... They think, tromara tous, that they can piss in the face of the last 20 of us still rocking up every week when those "better days" come along..... Wait till the Preston match in a few rounds... the whole world will be pissing their pants at 4 thousand Preston fans chanting obscure historical fallacies at 10 angry Greek blokes standing on a balcony overlooking empty seats..... wondering where everybody went?

There is no domestic transfer system & most NPL boys are on 1 year contracts, you get a small compensation fee (last time I checked it was like $12k or so?) and an email

To be fair Preston was accepted into NSD while they were still in VPL 1 :p

The Oceania Pro League talk was so funny especially as it started when the club started struggling & picking up injuries

far too late to make a difference mate.... by then the gap will be far to big... South and Knights are going to go straight from bottom of NPL to NSD in 2026 ... and its gonna piss alot of people off as we still wont have "technically" been relegated.... ... grab the popcorn.

Only thing I can see is Victory/City will release players in a few weeks & they'd be keen to have a go at South/Knights to put themselves in the shop window.

Bit different when it's someone like Manningham or Eastern Lions sitting rock bottom

Oh not so much worried about player availability, more that it will be a mathematical impossibility by then... last 4 rounds see us play Bergers, Gully, Oaks and Avondale.... I mean that would have been a tricky run home a few seasons ago.. now its lambs to the slaughter time...
 
If South went to knights and got a draw it would be like us winning a grand final..with port likely to lose to heidelberg and victory likely to lose to heidelberg it would buy us another week, but we are fucked, we have no hope.

It would be novelty experience I suppose, celebrating a draw like the other NPL teams used to do against us....
