Much needed win. If we had lost tonight, it was all over.

I thought the team did well tonight. If only we had a striker and a decent midfielder.

It annoys me more now that we dropped points to Port last week.

I have zero interest in the Cup fixture against Paco. Focus needs to be on the Victory game next Sunday. Win there and we’re up to 15 points.
 
We still cant take a trick, Pope probably gets 2 weeks. Hopefully we start getting a few bodies back shortly.

Depends on the regs and the way the suspension would be written - I’ve seen “2 weeks” and “2 matches” before across many different disciplinary regulations
 
Port gave Avondale a massive run for their money, even game, without Liston Diaz as well.

We can probably say Knights are the worst team. Next step is to break our lakeside losing run, lots of football to come at home, 4 of the next 6.
 
With our board asleep at the wheel this year i hope they havent forgotten that Victory is a high risk game next week and potentially more so in the event they win the title next Saturday. They will be smarting big time. Need measures in place for this.

I dont think they will show up to NPL the next day after they (hopefully) lose to the other franchise... either way whoever comes, you stick them behind the goals at the furthest end standing, via access from opposite gates...no special treatment or respect needed just set up a table aka home of the matildas and be done with it... if there is any trouble you stop the game and go after the points on paper, zero tolerance, simple!

We will save any "red" carpet treatment for Preston, who will actually bring a crowd for the opposite grandstand, hopefully we have gotten a few more points by that one and have a sea of blue/white on our end to counter the ugly red/yellow 🤣😛
 
With St Albans losing to Altona Magic, we are out of the relegation zone temporarily. Next 3 fixtures are Victory (H), St Albans (A) and Preston (H).

It is so important we pick up wins against Victory and St Albans. That will build a buffer from 12th spot. I’ll happily take a point against Preston.

Realistically, we are only capable of finishing no higher than 10th. Only with reinforcements in the transfer window could we possibly finish 9th.

We should be aimimg for points in our 3 game home stand against Preston, Thunder and Hume. Players are returning shortly and we use to routinely beat these sides, we just need to be well organised and not repeat that suicidal high line nonsense that lost us the game against Port.
