Have not seen this posted anywhere so sorries if in a post somewhere.

JJ, along with it appears OLD Football, have made a decent bid for Perry Park to be turned into a 17-20K stadium with 13K extra seating for the Olympics according to a report in News.

Football Australia wants a purpose-built stadium in Queensland to help cater to the sport at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics and give A-League club Brisbane Roar a new home ground.

As part of proposal submitted by FA and Football Queensland to the Queensland government’s 100-day infrastructure review for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, a permanent “tier two” 17,000-20,000 seat venue – with the potential for 13,000 temporary seats during the Games – has been put forward.[/quote}

Brisbane desperately needs a stadium that size. Suncorp is too big for many events.
 
With the financial state of the Qld Government I cannot get excited about a bid like this for all that it would be fantastic to upgrade Perry Park and get a real home.

"The Olympic Investigation Report showed we have sufficient venues across the state and in the immediate vicinity for Olympic needs" is what the reply will be. They have no interest in spending money on genuine infrastructure for our sport looking forward.

They are looking at hosting Rowing in crocodile infested waters in Rocky FFS...have to outdo swimming in the Seine I guess...

Sucky language on their part trying to make this a marketing exercise, but 'content' being a match essentially is my understanding.

Based off the first couple pages, I take 'content' to also be 'pre-season training camps'

bit of a disrespectful way to refer to Brisbane Strikers if you ask me... :( Football QLD connecting with the football community again it seems.

yep, I just ctrl + F'd 'content' when you asked your question to see what the hell they were talking about (because I thought it might be tied to just a specific line), but they've used it throughout the document. Is 100% trying to tie football into a marketing exercise, rather than player/club development, etc.
