Ellie Carpenter injured with possibly a knee or quad issue, replaced by Kaitlyn Torpey who is also playing at her club's home ground.

Half time, Matildas trail Colombia 1-0. As it stands we'll finish with the wooden spoon, winless from 3 games with no points and -6 for and against.

But who cares?

This tournament only exists because FIFA has failed to take women's football seriously.

It's a symptom of a problem.

Shit crowd tbh
you'd think being held there alot more would be behind the tournament.
I mean the USAWT have been so vocal for so long getting a name for themselves.
Also would be heaps of latino/columbians
According to U.S. Census data, an estimated 1.6 million Hispanics of Colombian origin lived in the U.S. in 2023, making Colombians the seventh-largest Hispanic origin group in the country. Around 30 percent of Colombian-Americans live in Florida, especially in the Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

If we come away from the SheBelieves Cup having lost all our games, including our biggest ever loss to continental rivals Japan then it doesn't bode well for us going further in the current major tournament cycle culminating in the home women's Asian Cup next year. Also the history books will forever have our first ever meeting with Colombia recorded as a loss for the Matildas if things don't change in the second half.

Only the last one bothers me.

Second half now underway. Caitlin Foord on for Michelle Heyman, whilst Tash Prior replaces Steph Catley. Emily van Egmond assumes the captaincy for the last forty-five minutes plus stoppage time of our SheBelieves Cup campaign.

Pretty obvious not much looks good ahead when you haven't much to show.

Columbians have already created better chances, put my neck out they'll win.

what is it with womens football and countless impossible long balls.

Deep cross from Kaitlyn Torpey which is just out of reach of Caitlin Foord. Now the Colombian keeper Natalia Giraldo is down injured.
