Summer of Cricket thread

2nd test in Adelaide starts today with the pink ball.

Hazelwood out, Boland in.

Another low scoring innings it seems

Another chance to stamp our authority with the bat if we are good enough

As good as we have been we still haven't been as clinical as we could have been

Bowling marsh over lyon probably cost us 20 runs

Boland got a wicket off a no ball
2 sloppy dropped catches

watching on split screen with the roar match, india out for 180

I don't think we bowled well, few dropped catches and loose deliveries, so that makes me nervous for our innings

these 1st innings failures can be deceptive, if you don't get a 100 run lead I tend to think you are behind in the game. So par for Australia is 280

pretty decent day for us after that first test

if we get through the first session without too much damage would could really put the pressure on

How did Mcsweeney look?
Streaky early as u would expect but eventually the shots came out and he got better at handing 4th stump balls

One standout in his game is bumrah has such a well disguised stump ball but mcsweeney didn't even look fussed by it

despite the cockup with marsh not reviewing we look like we should get at least a 150 run lead

Travis Head what a performer.

Reminds me of Adam Gilchrist when he came in at 5 or 6 and ripped through the bowling attack.

pretty decent day in the end. If weather holds up we have a big chance

Nice score card to wake up to. Inevitable that Usman and Marnus will have their big innings when the others don't.

Why is Brisbane not first? Absolute shitshow with regards to weather.

They changed it round. From memory Brisbane is notorious for being rainy when test cricket is played. Remember the radio a lot as a id saying 'rain again'

Brisbane is potentially rainy in November and December. Didn't really matter whether it was the first or third test. It rained in Brisbane for a day or two when the first test was played also.

Maybe Cricket needs to look at a winter season in Australia then :P Would give them "clear air" from their Aleague rivals too ... win win :P
