The Ange at Tottenham Thread

This is the problem with so much European competition and unfettered UEFA expansion. It devalues local leagues.

This is why I found UEFA's tantrum about the Superleague amusing. Bunch of hypocrites.
Fully agree. People thought Blatter and Platini were bad. Infantino and Ceferin are just as if not worse. Only difference is that they are now paying everyone off as opposed to a few.

What pissed me off more about the Conference League was that when UEFA was asked about the environmental impact of more competition they basically said "not our problem"

Local leagues are already devalued because of the dominance of the big 5 and in particular the big 2 leagues.
European competition gives clubs from smaller leagues opportunity to make some proper money and increase their profile.

If you're simply buying into Ange's excuses narrative that European competition has ruined Spurs league season, then maybe you are gullible. Balancing multiple competition priorities is nothing new and clubs have been doing it for decades successfully. Most of Ange's years of 'vast' managerial experience happened in part time Australian leagues, whether it was the NSL or Z-league. He simply doesn't have the knowledge how how to manage a squad under the demands of the Premier League and European competition and he's trying to convince people who know better this isn't his fault.
